U should stick to 22.214.171.1243
It is the best out there until now.
I have a 9900/9860 and my wife has a 9810. Difference between os7 and 7.1 there's option changes the browser more responsive those memory leaks are still there the battery increased on the later 7.1 builds. I recommend you go to 7.1 latest for 9810 I think is. 536 give it a go. If you need help bbos as a nice write up on how to upgrade os.
My carrier is O2UK. There's not really much differents from 7.0 just a few little changes, althought since upgrading my phone will turn itself off while listening to music and not come back on untill i do a battery pull but apart from that i do like it.
Even though I have answered this via PM and Forums, I will post here also just in case another BBOS member/guests needs these links.
To install the BlackBerry OS from your PC via Desktop Manager Software to BlackBerry, check out How to upgrade your device (pictures and video)
To find & remove the vendor.xml file(s), check out How To search for & delete your vendor.xml file
When I got my 9360, keeping in my pocket was uncomfortable, and forget downloading because I thought It might explode. But I'm happy to report those heat issues are a thing of the past, I just downloaded 5 videos which are 700mbs each with no hassels. Remember once you update there maybe a lingering heat..do about 3 battery pulls after just installing the os 7.1....you'll see the difference and hour or two later an by the following day there it will be gone.Because if your torch is hot even though you are not browsing the internet or queued to music and vids to download then os 7.1 will fix the heat problem. My phone was hot even though I was not doing anything on it.
Hello,I don't own a torch 9810 but a curve 9360. I installed RogersWireless OS 7.1 release on the curve replacing MTN's OS 7.0. Reason being overheating and battery drainage caused by OS 7.0
If you have installed 7.1 and deleted the vendor.xml, simply navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader and double click apploader.exe and follow the prompts.
