I just got a new macbook pro 2.66 ghz with 4gb of ram. I am ready to install bootcamp because I am learning solidworks but I was just wondering what windows operating software would be most efficient with solidworks? THANK YOU!!!!

Having used solidworks for the last 6 years, the first question I need to ask is what version are you planning on running on your MacBook
Secondly, you do know that solidworks is a memory pig, right? Especially if your going to run the rendering or animation options. The 4 mb, is that total memory, or is that the ram only? I find sw 2010 to be slow even with 2mb ram.
Finally, will you be running the solidworks with a key license you input or is it an external key you plug into one of your pin ports or usb? This may not be possible (external key) on the MacBook
In any event, any version of windows that is XP or greater should do the trick. Not sure about solidworks 2010 though. I've only run that on windows 7
