it was, but i got impatient so i put the oem pieces back on and brought the phone in b/c i knew they'd just give me a new one.

@Xonz: I'd like to ask a ques, can you confirm that the browser loading speed in your hybrid 2.1 is as fast as the one in OS 5.0.0.190? Cuz I can see that you've included the .190 browser files in this hybrid. Thanks in advance

turns out after all that there was a problem with my pc. apploader and dm were having problems with the new bold also. i did a system restore to an earlier registry point and everything seems to be ok. wow.

So this Hybrid is suppose to run better than the .301 right...?

Not so much better, just different. The main differences would be the 5.0 modules for browser, fonts, and BBM. Plus this hybrid is very battery and memory efficient

+1 Agreed Morganizer. The main benefits are batterey life and memory efficiency which are very important when looking at a phone at which is great about these new Hybrids.

Does App World install & work under this Hybrid?

Try downloading Bchat from the online store, it is an application that has threaded sms!

I have tried it already, but deleted it right away cuz its not built-in with the native sms, I received 2 notifications of native sms and bchatT_T. Threaded sms on 5.0.0.190 is much better

I know exactly what you are talking about. You are stuck deleting messages from the SmS. Threaded SMS from the 191 is so smooth I could not agree with you more.

Any differences between threaded sms on .191 of Tour (or Storm I'm not sure=.=) and .190 of Bold?

That is a good question. I am not sure for I have not scene the Bold running 191. My guess is that they would be similar since the threaded SMS comes from the same 191 Radio File that would be running.

So would using 301 base work for this hybrid? I saw someone ask about this but nobody has confirmed this...

Would it be better to use a 301 base instead of a 297 base...? I remember the 297 was pulled from being an official release OS...?

The hybrid has been compiled with 297 as the base OS; this is a dependency and should not be used with any other OS base.

I believe it was pulled by AT&T because they couldn't cope with a new feature (or something), not because of any flaw in the release. (IIRC)
