media scan is still quite slow

Just deleted one jpeg and the card was scanned again for 4 mins (16gb SDHC - 9.1 GB free)

Tried a second instal just incase - same issue

I was really upset when I saw it.... Just a word for any hybrid maker... DONT advertise what you DONT have. Everything else runs well except for the media card scan.

I agree with Morganizer. We all know each BB acts differently to OS's installed on the device. I would say have you done all the trouble shooting for this issue you are having?

My point is I understand having issues/problems and reporting them but nobody needs to flame the developers considering they provide us this software for free.

People said that the media scan/pic load was equal to that of anything pre- 282. I have installed this on my BB 2 different times, and I'm going to install it again on the refurb I'm getting tomorrow. My pictures load so slowly that it's not even funny. When you say you fix something, that means it isn't broken anymore.... which for me and quite a few other people, the media scan and pic load is still broken.

EDIT: I'm not trying to flame him, but just to make sure he knows it's fixed before he says it. Or atleast put the clarifier of "faster pic load/ media scan for some phones" I truly enjoy what he has done with my phone in terms of battery and speed, but the picture load is what is keeping my from loving this build.

My experience is the media and pics did load up faster. Could it be a card problem?

Thank you for your clarification Internet makes it hard sometime to differentiate between frustration and anger. Xonz is one of the most helpful hybrid makers out there, and I am sure he will look at this issue very closely once he signs on and sees these posts.

I don't own a bold so not sure I really have much to add in hopes of helping. But keep up posted on the new install you have coming up.

I'll be sure to reinstall this OS again, seeing as how my battery seems to be lasting foreverrrrrr, but I have a teeny memory drain but its so worth it for battery.

It's not a card issue though, as it loads blazingly fast with .266, .247, and 5.190.

So after that I know what I had to wrote for advantage..

I can vouch for 5.0.0.190 the media does index quickly. Thanks for clarifying your post. Xonz is a good friend so I may have gone on the defensive a bit quick

It may have been me you are referring to. I can only vouch my own personal experience, I have no issues with thumbnails loading or media card scanning since I started using Xonz's hybrids.

As has been stated, your mileage may vary...

Thanks Xonz for replying. If you can get the battery to get any better, you would be a god. The slow media load is killing everyone here though. And by everyone, I mean the people who are still affected by it.

Xonz is there an ETA on the 5.0 hybrid? That's the one I'm really lookin for. Also you think there is a way that FB 1.6 will work on there or will I need to wait for FB 1.7?
