A couple notes on a minor install issue:

    1. During install you need to point to extract to:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9000-v4.6.0.297_P4.0.0.243\Java\

otherwise by default it dumps all the files to:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9000-v4.6.0.297_P4.0.0.243\

This morning I had my first post-install issue with this release.

I got a phone call and when I answered my phone immediately started to reboot. When it came back up I tried to call the person back and it said uncaught exception in the voice module and hung up. Then I tried calling back 2 more times and boths times it sounded like digital scramble. Did a battery pull and it seems to be working fine again.. Not sure if it was a network issue or a problem with this release.

Installed this last night. Now I reboot in less than 2 minutes, didn't get that improvement with v1. Memory is more stable than with just the base and it is a little higher. Won't know about battery improvment until tonight, but it seems better so far. I leave UberTwitter open all day and have a weather app autoupdating, but close other apps after using. Browser is a lot faster and I haven't gotten the waiting clock in the center yet like I used to.

Thank you so much for this - I am lovin it so far!!

    Hello Xonz:

I really apreciate your work, first time here, one question, is this hybrid`s browser faster since it has the 5.0.190 files? your previos hybrid had another browser version?, on crackberry people were saying that 190 is super fast, is this the same?

    Thanks.

    Victor.

I'm not Xonz but I can answer that the 5.0 browser is much faster than 4.6. This is one of the key reasons to use this hybrid over the standard OS

Hello fellow Kentuckian! Did you do the prescribed 3 battery pulls after initially loading the hybrid? Also did you wipe prior to installing? Just curious trying to understand why this might have happened.

    Quick instructions:

    1. backup and wipe recommended (don't forget 3rd party app backup via BBSAK)
    2. install AT&T official 4.6.0.297 on your PC and remove all other OS versions
    3. delete vendor.xml
    4. download the hybrid .exe from the link provided above
    5. run the hybrid .exe file over your 4.6.0.297 java folder
    6. run loader.exe (restore 3rd parties during this process)
    7. restore backups
    8. 3 consecutive battery pulls
    9. restore all software configs, etc. as needed

How to restore all backuped 3rd app via BBSAK using loader.exe ?
    Thanks

Click on load OS to launch the app loader. When you get to the application selection screen, click on the add button, and choose the ALX file that BBSAK made.

Prior to loading the OS, I always move the 'backup' folder made by BBSAK to my desktop and loader.exe finds it automatically and populates the 3rd parties into the regular list of apps. Minor thing but it saves a step
