It's just a very safe way to ensure that the hybrid "settles in". Kinda like a better safe than sorry thing.

Xonz or a mod please edit xonz post. Deleting vendor.xml is required even for AT&T. Sorry for the confusion

Load in progress. I did not see the delete the vendor.xml file notice until just now.. I thought this one was based on at&t's .297.. I will wipe and reload with deleted vendor.xml..

I didn't delete the vendor.xml file and I have at&t. It seems to be working fine. What effect does not deleting it have?? Should I wipe and reload it again?

Early days yet, but 2.5 hours after last battery pull the memory is rock solid at 44Mb. Never had that before with any OS.

It loaded the regular .297 more than likely. Go to options > advanced > applications > bb key > modules and scroll down looking for these modules to see if they match mine:



If not, you did not get the hybrid loaded and will need to wipe and reinstall removing vendor.xml. I even had to disconnect from the internet to get it to load properly using loader.exe which I normally do not have to do. Loader was trying to load the .297 official instead.

Yes I apologize, the step by step I wrote up I forgot to edit that line from the steps to install the standard .297.

Wiped and restarted the entire process, being sure to delete vendor.xml. All the correct modules are loaded and working great. 42MB Free Memory after 2 hours with running multiple intensive apps.. Google Voice, Google Sync, Slacker, Viigo, Facebook, Myspace, SocialScope, Berryweather, and AIM. Tested Visual Voicemail, works great. Browser, BBM5, both working great.

Menu flows are all very fluid, no jitter, no hour glass effect.. Fastest and smoothest experience I have had on my Bold so far. The pictures load up quick in media, lightening quick. Literally every little Blackberry Bold issue I have ever encountered is cleaned up in this release.

Xonz you are truly a legend, you have created the ultimate Blackberry Bold user experience. Crafting the modules together with precision and attention to detail that is unsurpassed in all other bold os versions. Thank you sir.
