So I guess the loader.exe didn't work, I still have all .151 hmm

Phone already on .151, computer already has original .151, install 8.5 on there and use loader.exe

should be that simple right?

Did you install 8.5 over .151?

nevermind, reboot computer, re-extract bb 8.5 again, this time launch BB Desktop Manager and it detect the version and started the upgrade.

That worked nicely! Didn't expect some 5.0.140 files would be in there. Seems to run fairly stable and fast. Haven't play with it much.

For me the most important would be GPS lock. RIght now with Pyont, inside my house, it took 30 seconds, not too shabby.

Glad you are enjoying it. I'm sure bbc is pleased of the excitement you are sharing. It is a great build in my eyes and the closest build to 5.0.

Follow the step by step in the below thread. It is for V7.14 but installs the same way as this one

Just make sure you use .151 as the base and 8.5 as the hybrid

It's basically a text file that contains a number code corresponding to the carrier that the OS package was released for. It's supposed to prevent you from taking the OS from another carrier, and installing it on your device.

Like most of the later hybrids .151 is usually the base, but it is always best to make sure

I do have a another question when I look in the about what is it supposed to say? In the os section.
