I would wipe to error code, it is always better to install Hybrids to a clean device. It will prevent any residual files from causing an issue...

I would suggest wiping first and installing clean. I have never had luck installing a hybrid over a hybrid

Thanks! That's what I thought. I usually wipe before an install. BBC's hybrids have been the most stable for me so far.

You will need to install into a clean 151 OS. This is the same install as my previous Hybrids.

Can you explain the update to me please! Phone works great but I don't see a difference from V8! Pardon my lack of knowledge!

More of the .140 files are included in this update than with the original v8. The transitions are improved as well.

Issue sending MMS, have to pull battery. Known issue? Is the only solution a radio swap?

Basically with the 8.5 vs the 8 you get the transitions all the time instead of periodically, and you get the Manage Connections and Clock shortcut on the home page of the default theme. Other than that I haven't noticed much difference between 8 and 8.5

This is an issue with the .151 radio and yes the only solution I have read about is to swap the radio. There is a thread that talks about how to swap to the .132 radio with 8.5 starting with this post

I have noticed when I try to answer incoming calls on BBC v8 sometimes it doesn't connect the call regardless of whether I push the screen answer pad or the green button. Is this a known problem with v8, and is it better with v8.5?
I am hesitant to change from v8 my phone works perfectly otherwise.

Only heard one other case of this. Have you tried a battery pull? Otherwise my only other suggestion is to wipe and reinstall in hope to recover whatever may be the problem.

I had that problem in v7. But it hasn't shown up recently. Battery pull won't fix it though. You can try going to 8.5. maybe it will go away. That's kinda what happened to me.

I have had this problem every since going to straight .151. It is still there occasionally with both v8 and v8.5. Although not as much with 8.5. It seems to happen the most when the phone hs to switch from landscape to portrait during an incoming call. Be sure to post if you find a solution.

You could try but most likely it would result in bricking your phone.

How do I know if I've successfully used loader.exe to load this hybrid vs alreadying having .151 on there? Loader seems to load fairly fast.
