Is this the newest hybrid for the 8330m?
I believe it is the only Hybrid. He has one in the Beta works.

Folks do you think we can get someone to leak the 8310 5.0.0.53 radio file and then leverage the 8330 5.0.0.230 OS to build some kind of slim line OS that will work on the older devices? I have also seen a pretty decent increase in Speed on the 8330 Verizon unit after installing the OS, I was getting 180K throughput connecting to the net on the 4.5 version but once I went to the 5.0.0.230 the throughput went to 300k almost double apparently the radio file relaly boosted the transfer rate, How I tested went to giganews.com and went to speed test with the device.
Maybe some kind sole can help me out here.
Talking about the 8330 (Verizon), it seems we are at a fork in the road.
1. Load 4.5.0.169 and Lyricidal's 4.5 Hybrid with 4.6/5.0 files or
2. Load 5.0.0.230.
Option one gives you BBM5.0, working: maps, app world and Viigo, etc.
Option 2 drops you back to BBM4.7(?), nonworking: maps, app world and Viigo, Media Player, maybe others.
So, My question is this. What is so good about an OS5 over OS4.5 that you would be willing to give up BBM5 and some or all of the listed nonworking apps?
"Everybody" was quite happy and amazed at how cool BBM 5 was, I think there must be something I am just missing out on here that would lead them to give up their BBM5 for the "lesser" 4.7
I hope this makes sense and thanks in advance for your help, Chris.
P.S. UROOJS, the radio that gave you such a great increase, was it the stock one that comes with 5.0.0.230 or from another release?

I had updated a Verizon 8330 to the leaked 5.0.0.230, connected the Blackberry via Bluetooth to a laptop and surfed the web, the increase in speed was easy to see. A friend who also has a 8330 and was sitting next to me tested the same sites and throughput, On Stock 4.x he was getting 180K down with the bluetooth modem setup while the 5.0.0.230 radio file was pulling down at 330k. yeah the other applications currently dont' run but maybe we can take the 238 files as they did in the case of the Tour hybrid and see if that resolves the problem, the 238 files will allow you to run App world and stuff. Still wondering if someone can leak the 8310 curve 5.x radio file and let the folks who want to have some fun creating a build loose.
I am waiting for that leak. Did the Hybrid from the first post, used Shrink-a-os, and MaxMem, running a super fast dark bottom boldtype theme. But I've never like the data transmission from this 8310. So please someone leak.
Also any update on a second Hybrid for 83xx?

Okay so I'm a newbie at this site, but a long time computer programmer. I would like to thank those who have taken the time to create this project, the combing of operating systems is no easy task! I installed it on my Blackberry 8330M (which there is no leaked os for at this time) and I've got to tell you it went great! I use sprint, so I decided to keep their radio file (which works very well.) I upgraded (downgraded) from O.S. 4.5.175 with no problems, and have found some advantages of this new system. Using the Blackberry as a tether for your laptop I have gotten some impressive results as far as speed and stability are concerned. Applications seem to load faster, and run more efficiently (it maybe coincidence.) I like the UI (though not much was changed.) I think this is proof that 5.0 is very possible to be created for the 8330M. Wonderful work people, and your instruction manual could not have been any clearer or easier to understand. Great work, keep up the good work. If anybody with a Sprint BB (8100 or higher) needs assistance for file replacement, please feel free to contact me!![]()
Does this hybrid include threaded sms?
Oh, I would update it to hybrid if it has threaded sms like OS 5.0. Anyone with the hybrid, can you tell me if there's threaded sms?
Wirelessly posted (Storm 9530)
This does not but he has a couple 50 hybrids that has threaded SMS.
OS: Willyboy 95xx v3.1 .580-.734/.743/.758/6.0.0.31 & Shrink-A-OS

oh, maybe i should make my own hybrid with his "build-a-hybrid" software. lol
I also want to solicit whatever is necessary for faster data transmissions. I use my BB as bluetooth modem, and I have several pals who are running low 300ks off their 83xxs, mine is LOW 100Ks. Unfortunately I dont have in my plans soon to buy another BB, money is a bit tight these days, plus we know plans dont come cheap.
