On initial load, BB froze during permissions, etc. on reboot. One battery pull did the trick and now it's running fine (15 minutes in). App memory near 50MB after reboot. Platform number in screen shot above proves the hybrid because .291 has a lower platform number normally. More feedback to come.

Having trouble getting device to lock onto 3G even though I'm in a full strength 3G area at the moment.
2 battery pulls and it finally worked, now it's staying locked on full 3G.
Facebook, etc. work due to 4.6 base. Also BBM5 works. Browser is working great for me so far. Located the hybrid files in modules so they're all where they're supposed to be.
Still can't seem to stay locked on 3G very long past initial reboot. Not sure if this is a carrier issue but I've had full signal all day in this area with 3G coverage. Will continue to monitor.
BB global sans is there (woohoo) which is my favorite font from 5.0. I always use that one when testing 5.0 OS versions.
All apps loaded up and restored with no problems including SocialScope and WeatherBug.
Thanks for the feedback morgan... All the apps i already try it will works great..
and the font from 5.0 is working well...
I'm still having problems locking onto 3G. If I remember correctly you said you used .282 radio files but the .282 build had selectable 2G/3G and this hybrid does not. Just curious as to potential reasons for the radio trouble. Also, bear in mind I haven't totally ruled out a carrier issue although very unlikely where I am tonight.
Did another (4th) battery pull which triggered an immediate 3G which has now been locked on for 5 minutes or so. I haven't had trouble with the radio on .266, .282, .291 or any 5.0 builds I've tested so maybe this is a fluke. I will be interested to see what tomorrow brings and will post feedback. Thanks![]()
Already download the hybrid, I'll install after office hour, hope the browser problem fixed with this new Hybrid. Another great job Xonz, thanks.
In the mean time... please make sure to disable javascript on your browser
I am new here but very impressed by your Hybrid OS for Bold. I have just installed it and very happy with it.
Thanks for your great job.
will try it,
good job![]()
Faster startup on working... and the browser is on the work

Has anyone tried MDS Runtime? It reboots my phone when I launch it or a MDS app.
Now i know apploader won't let you re-install the same OS that is already on your bb, but Just out of curiosity, will apploader let you install a hybrid over the OS you already have on your bb? For instance, if i already had .291 on my bb, would it be possible to add the hybrid and run it in loader? Or would i have to wipe/upgrade/downgrade before installing like i did?
We pull batteries, swap bezels, break contracts, and stay up all night. We change OSes like we change underwear. If our phones could make us fly, we still wouldn't be satisfied. We're cut from a different cloth. A better breed. We are BlackBerry.

You can install right over .291 as long as you start with .291 on ur PC before you run the hybrid .exeOriginally Posted by BlackberryBlake
