After reloading the Hybrid OS again, somehow it suddenly works just like that without a hitch, hmmm...
Problem solved. But the cause and fix is not known.![]()
Thank you for the information. I guess i just havent noticed a diff with the browser.
With the exception of viigo all the other apps are working great!
Apps
Tweet Genius
Facebook ( most recent 1.6 )
Google Voice
Qik
AIM
Gtalk
MSN
Poynt
Google Sync
Google Maps
Att Nav
All most recent all performing as expected
Thanks and cant wait for v2
Loaded the hybrid - wow what a difference in the browser - can't imagine how anyone could not notice the tremendous improvement withthis browser.
I did have a couple of apps that didn't load (one that is an absolute for me)
Blackberry App World had to be manually reinstalled vs trying to restore with the BBASK app
File Manager Pro would install but everytime I try to open a zip attachement I get an error that the device cannot open this file. Tried reinstalling but no luck.
Any ideas? I gotta be able to open zip files (this has worked on all of my previous OS installs)
Aerize card Loader won't work - but that's ok, don't uset hat often.
Thanks for input in advance

For the record, this hybrid does not work when the exe is run over .266 OS. Have to stick with .282 as a base. We gave it a go earlier and it resulted in a...

I have been using this Hybrid for almost a week now. Although I don't use many 3rd party apps, It installed perfectly and I haven't had any issues so far to date. Thanks for your hard work Crackman!
It's probably just my relative newness to Blackberry (I used WinMo for yrs) but after I installed the hybrid and I went to Desktop Manager at a later time to install some apps (actually I wanted to make sure attachement services were installed) it messed up my hybrid install ---
It asked for a and upgrade to 4.6 Core services or something
Is there a common mistake after installing hybrid and the using Desktop Manager ??

Shouldn't be any error, but what you can do to avoid this next time is, in your pc go to c: program files/common files/research in motion/applications loader/ shared/ and here you'll see your Os ver. Just add an x to the folder name and won't ask you again or just select cancel to the upgrade requested trough DM.Originally Posted by jcrompton

alright, just joined the forums because i heard about this OS/thread on crackberry. but not new to bb's or forums
anyway i loved .282 EXCEPT the lag in accessing my pictures on my mem card mainly. but im not sure how that weighs in comparison to the horrible batt life i get with .266
would that be different in this hybrid or is the mem card loading lag still there?

There shouldn't be any issues, I tested this hybrid and there is nothing like that...Originally Posted by ericjackson

no. but its worked perfect for most other releases. .147 and .266 were the most recent i tried. i couldnt imagine why it would be any different. esp since ive switched back and forth through a few different releases with different results for each. .266 being the fastest response. im gonna give it time. i really dont want to downgrade back to that battery hog
