Does javascript still suck?

Seems like a normal BBC Hybrid. Better than the original RIM OS! :lmao: Memory is in the low 50's going no lower than around 45. Got the clock a couple times, but that's just OS .282. Battery life seems fair. Looking forward to V2.0.

..No problems with any apps, but ever since I installed it, when I go to my calls page it just shows a number... doesn't have the little icon letting me know if it was a missed/outgoing/incoming doesn't show the time stamp or anything... is this because of the hybrid or something else?

have you tried using a smaller font size?

Go into the phone app, hit menu, general options, and make sure Phone List View is set to "Call Log". This will fix it for ya.

First off i wanna say great site and amazing work!
I just loaded the v1 and it seems to be a sucess thus far however it apears that the browser is still 4.6
Any ideas? i followed the guide word for word and downloaded the files from the links provided

Have noticed a slightly higher battery usage but that's not an issue for me

The only problem I cannot resolve, is one I've had before on all previous OS versions - Gtalk - "Service not enabled for this handheld"

The broswer still says 4.6 but if you go to options > advanced > applications > menu key > modules and scroll down you should see several 5.0 files listed including browser files.

Just to clarify when you say Gtalk you're referring to Google Talk? If so, delete the application from your device and do a clean install. There is no reason this won't work may just be a bad download.

I couldn't get facebook to load with .16 I downloaded the newest version from BB App Store to .21 and it still wont load

BBC my battery life kinda levelled out after the first day or two. Now that I've been on it for several days I will say the battery life is still worse than .266 but not as bad as my initial reports. To quantify the difference I would estimate 15-20% less life. Everything overall has been running very smoothly though. Anxiously awaiting v2 and beyond...

Facebook .21 works with this hybrid. Are you running the BBC Hybrid v1? I noticed your member profile lists 5.0.0.100 hybrid.

Also when you say won't load, what exactly happens?

1. I can't find the FB (v1.6.0.21) icon anywhere on my phone (including hidden) but it is in my application list, I've applied all permissions to "Allow"
2. I tried loading it from QL and all I get is send and receive arrow flasing in and out
3. that's it and m.facebook.com is a joke

Is it possibly hidden in a folder such as downloads or applications? If not, delete the app from your application list (options > advanced > applications) and do a fresh install from mobile.blackberry.com OTA. Also make sure to allow the device to reboot after deleting your current app.

Also forgive me if you already addressed this but what was your previous OS? Did you perform a wipe before installing .282 and the BBC hybrid?

OTA link wont work says "Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are need to support Facebook."

I believe I had .292 prior to installing the hybrid

Even though I've set the Browser to default to INTERNET BROWSER, whenever I try to load a page it always automatically chooses to use the WAP BROWSER. I have tried to change the options with no results.

Please help me resolve this issue as now I can't browse without being charged for data!

Did all the basic troubleshooting stuff like battery pull, re-register, resend service books?

Yep. Battery pull, HRT reregister, resend Service Book not working...

Try this, set the default browser to Internet Browser, then try navigate to a page. You'll see the "link" icon on the top bar goes "disconnected" then "connected" again, and when you open the Options you will see that the browser have changed to the WAP one.

Now trying to revert to the original .282 OS to see if the problem still remains or it is the Hybrid issue.

Also found some issue with the latest Facebook. The Facebook CICAL is missing from the service books... Tried resending the service book, not working. Also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Facebook application and the CICAL is still not showing. From the Options menu, CICAL selection only shows my e-mail accounts, no Facebook.

Something must have messed up my service books during the installation, maybe the restoring process?
