Thread: Crackmans Bold Hybrid findings and fixes

App memory has dipped slightly to 30.9 but still holding strong. Again it needs to be noted that I have more apps running at once than probably normal. Hourglass has become less frequent if not disappeared (haven't noticed one for a while). All 3rd parties are playing nicely, no issues there. Browser pages are loading rather quickly now (of course I'm on wifi now whereas earlier I was back and forth between EDGE and 3G while traveling through the boonies. I did another proactive battery pull just for good measure which may have led to things clearing up a bit. Bluetooth paired up fine and has performed well (JawB2).

One important thing (to me) is the addition of the 5.0 fonts. I really like the BBGlobal Sans font and had missed it from earlier trial runs of 5.0 on both Storm and Bold. Glad to have it back

In retrospect, the battery life problem I reported may not have been fair. I had a 3 hour drive this morning from 4AM to 7AM during which I pounded my BB. I was browsing, BBM'ing, listening to music, installing apps, etc. non-stop. Finished off by a 20 minute phone call right before noticing how low it was and making that post. I'm charging via laptop/USB connection at the moment and will continue to monitor as I'm mobile the rest of the day.

I use my blackberry in an unordinary way. I leave beejive on with 5 accounts all day long, berry weather updates every 30 minutes, twitter is constantly going off, email from like 7 addresses, IM+ for skype, listening to either nobex or slacker (comedy), updating my myspace, facebook, and always checking for new blackberry stuff. Yes by the end of the day my battery is pretty drained and my day starts at 7am when my blackberry turns on automatically. I love my bold which is unlocked to work on tmobile network. I installed hackman's bold v1 and the battery still holds the same charge. I recommend anyone who has installed this version to do a clean install versus anything else. I cannot wait for the next version of hackman.

BBM 5.0 was leaking the life out of .266. Haven't tried 282 yet but BBC hybrids loading on my Bold right now. The suspense is killin me.

So far so good. Any chance of getting the Media browser from 5 in Hybrid v2? Scrolling pics with the trackball is cool!

Everything else works great, but if anyone has an OTA link for the previous version of viigo it would be much appreciated.

I've been playing with this all day and haven't really noticed any problems at all. I had a memory issue previous to this and that actually seems to have helped it. By this time of day something was causing my phone to leak to 0 Files Free. I've been in Facebook quite a bit and no issues at all. I was able to send requests and accept. Nicely done.

What's next? Would love to get the word wrap.

Where exactly did you dL it from? i tried 2 diffent links and it hasn't worked for me yet.
