Can't wait to see this. I may try it. I have been waiting to upgrade to any 5.0 OS coz the browser thing. I don't use facebook, myspace, msn/yahoo messengers, But am really wanting to use 5.0 OS.
Great! i miss my msn..... :P
So first and formost Crackman, I dont know you but I already worship your BlackBerry dedication and craftsmanship. I read this thread, and peeked into some mentioned here about your other OS build and I said yep this guy is amaazinnnnng.
So KUDOS to being a pioneer.
Secondly when will this Hybrid OS be available and how stable is it ?
- I am new to this whole OS Upgrade Hybrid thing, so what kind of upgrade benefits are we looking at here?
:hail::hail::hail::hail:
Sincerely,
BlackBerryBoss
Can't wait any longer
am using 5.0.0.100 on my device and am missing FaceBook
Any chance your new hybrid will use the wifi drivers from the .130 package ? need it to connect to Cisco peap access points
Facebook support or the client preloaded with the new BB Messenger would be great :D
thanks

Its actually based off of the .282 Os with 5.0.0.100 files added along with the new BBM. Reason 100 was not used was the fact its not compatible with some apps, namely FaceBook. It is very stabile
Can't wait. Looking forward to trying my first hybrid OS. When can we expect it to be available?
I am foaming at the mouth with excitement. OMG OMG OMGGGGGGGGGGGGAWWWDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD this is the most suspensful thing ever. I am so damn antsy - Thanks Crackman.

Tanx bro
hey BBCrackman, do you happen to know (or know how to find out) what part of 4.6 it would be that defines symbols like 'FontRegistry.DEFAULT_SIZE'? I am pretty sure the following error message in my log file is why FB is incopatible with OS 5.0:
Symbol 'FontRegistry.DEFAULT_SIZE' not found? I'm wondering if making a hybrid the other way, replacing a few of the elements of 5.0 with 4.6 elements might give us a 5.0 version that works with FB and other RIM-made push apps like AIM?
