ok well let us know sorry i have been really busy this week getting things together for my wedding so I am hard to catch but if you have any further problems just pm me

I'll try and make as much sense as i can.
I deleted the original os.
Backed up the handheld.
Replaced the hybrid files into the folder where i deleted the os from.
Did the loader.
However i did NOT wipe the handheld. I wanted to try this out without wiping it in case i did something wrong.
After i did the loader it boots back up.


10. Wait for it to be finished, then restore everything thru Desktop Manager

thats the step that i get stuck on. because am i suppose to restore to the file that i backed up before i started all these steps?

yes, when you click backup pic the file that you saved earlier, but you need to have an os installed and you install the hybrid over top of it

Well, i dont think im doing it right but hope so. i am restoring to the original that i backd up before i did all this. if i fail, im probably gonna just say heck with it. i dont give up. but im scared to screw it up. and plus im getting a tour in a few weeks. but i was lookin forward to the "hybrid" lol


its takin awhile, i'll see what happens after it pull the batt 3 times.

I had an os installed, then deleted the files/replaced them with the hybrid files. But i can't say i installed the hybrid. Oh well, i'll try some more later on.

ohh is this for 8330 or 8330m

I just downloaded your latest fix from August 8th off of your site. Do i just try to start over with the instructions that has been given to me on here again? I have a 8330m from Sprint.

In the next to the last step "restore"
What exactly am i restoring it to? If i restore it to what i backed up before doing all these steps, won't i just be putting the same os on that i had before all this? im making this more difficult than it needs to be. sorry

If you have a hybrid loaded already or an OS, I would definitely recommend starting over with the process. That way, it eliminates corrupt files in the OS.

Restoring--means putting your information back to the phone: all settings preferences, messages, calendar entries, browser bookmarks and etc. The OS doesn't restore or change in this process, so you can go ahead and restore.

I'm missing something. And im sure its right in front of me too. When i get to restore, the only thing i can think of is to restore to the rstre that i did before the steps began. And that will just put it back to the way it was. not the hybrid. man this is killing me. its like 2+2=4 but im just not adding right or something.

I think you have that vendor.xml hiding deep somewhere....that's the most common culprit to prevent hybrid/OS load
