I sent a test SMS and the red light came on, not sure where the blue LED went, but I am ok with it.

Send yourself an email and see if the LED works for you. One you read the email the light should go off. That's a good way to check if it has been fixed.

You should only have a blue light if you are connected to a BT. If you are the blue light will continue to blink irrespective of emails, sms etc.

I just realized that, my BT is on 90% of the time my phone is, so that explains it....the "stuck" red led was odd, but seems to be gone now. Thanks for the help!

Kt sounds like your good To use shrink after you have installed an OS you just use it that same way you did tonight.

Run Shrink browse to your current OS folder select your options to shrink then click the launch loader button. It will then connect to the phone and remove everything you selected.

Bryan & JLevy - thank you both. Your assistance is most appreciated. It's always good to know you have someone helpful (or in the case of this site) quite a few knowledgable and helpful people looking over my shoulder.

I uninstalled a few apps I barely use and reclaimed ~1.5-2.0MB so I'm starting in the high 30s at boot-up - phone is quite responsive so far, boot time is shorter (maybe 1-1.5mins faster - for the first time ever), signal is very good - this has been a great experience - thank you both again!

okay here's the deal... I wanted to try out DM5. Uninstalled DM4.7, uninstalled previous OS's installed. Just to make sure it's clean. Installed DM5, installed .148 base then installed Hybrid V6. Deleted Vendor.xml file. Ran loader.exe and checked the basics. Got an error for the first time loading an OS. I got an error window popup which was a shock to me because I'm so use to loading OS's to try out. Same routine. Phone wiped clean using Crackutil all three wipes. Removed my memory card. I get Invalid Configuration window. Anyone know what is going on???

Thanks for the help. Everything worked out fine and I am having no issues at all with the v6.

    V6 .90 radio Hybrid

    continued findings for V6 .90...

latest observed issue is that the last 2 times I've turned off phone & put on wall charger, upon turning phone on it gets to the Verizon screen and does not proceed...I can hear email notices, etc., but stays on the V screen (Verizon screen of death).....batt pull corrects issue..

No random reboot yet today.....Hybrid continues to hold memory pretty well (mid 30's to low 40's).....no lag

still testing apps by keeping number of apps to a minimum....so far I've removed Google Maps and Weatherbug, which are both supposedly leak inducers, but haven't slowed initial mem leak...also tested Visual Mail, but didn't eliminate.....

gonna stick with this version thru the weekend, but if the Verizon Screen Freeze or reboots continue I'll be back to regular BBCM V6 .148....

.90 is known for the VSOD issue on many devices, but its funny how some devices never see a problem. i had .90 radio for a while and have never actually seen a VSOD but some users get it on every boot.

Final Findings for V6 .90 Hybrid

have noticed when trying to move files, do backup, etc. in Desktop Manager and in Media Manager that device refuses to go into Mass Storage Mode when needed.....simply starts disconnecting and reconnecting to computer....

after another random reboot, and with the VSOD issues, I've decided to go back to BBCM V6 .148....although I hate to lose the improved colorbanding/screen resolution, along with the larger keys, my phone just does not play well with .90....

.90 I bid you adieu.....hopefully I will again see the improved resolution and larger keys in a future OS....farewell.....

So I was wondering...I have loaded v6 .90 and do like the keybarrd and color features but phone seems a bit sluggish in transitions when switching from BB apps or any buttons. Types well but transitions just seem slow.

Anything I can do to get snappier transitions?

These transition are apart of the SFI file. So there is nothing you can really do except to change the SFI file to something else.

Also seems like light flickering screen :no:between transitions.

Yep that happens, but once the OS settles in after 24-48 hours those should go away.
