As a newbie and an AT&T subscriber I have felt no love from other sites! :lmao:
I have questioned my decision to get a Storm for several weeks! Right now though, I have to give a world of thanks to BBCrackman for restoring "that loving feeling" with this hybrid. He has restored my faith that this amazing phone can work as it was intended!
All my apps finally work, my radio signal stays on EDGE, my MMS doesn't fail.
I didn't even know I have a "color banding" issue until I saw .90! and noticed the amazing colors and larger keys.
I am so thrilled and want to thank all the BBOS crew for their patience and kindness in answering all my questions (probably having to repeat the same answers over and over again to us newbies) without being "flamed."
I have deleted the other site from my favorites and will only use BBOS.
Thank you again for all you insight and patience! :grouphug:
Tested out bluetooth today and it rocks. Paired it with a blueant speakerphone in the car and worked flawlessy, voice dialing worked perfectly and the connection was solid.
BBCrackman's builds are the very best, however his last build; Hybrid V6 is the absolute best out there right now. It sets the pace for others and sets a monumental record of accomplishment for "Developing a software to it's fullest and possible potential."
To the others here at BBOS. I have thuroughly tested his latest hybrid V6 build on several diffrent storms and the results themselves speak of what we would have wanted our storms to do in the first place... To simply work and perform to their fullest potential.
BBCrackman and the BBOS team here offer something that cannot be found on any other sites... Great Hybrids, Accurate Information, and a Caring staff that actually tries to help someone in need rather than discredit them or flame them.
My hands of applause go out to the Staff here at BBOS. I wish I could shake each one of your hands over the network, but I can't. So in close I will and can say, Thank You. Thank You for giving back to the community. Thank You for developing a site that is much more than the other out there. (No Flamming if you know which site I am referring to.) And a Thank You for taking time to do things right the first time. Specifically how the site is ran, how the forums are set up, and just in general how the site looks. It is excellent.
To the others out there in the community, please take time to ready my post: "Official V6 Final Report". It is post #2 in this forum and very accurate in the testing.
"BBOS," Thank You for all that you do and for making us feel welcome to your site.
"BBCrackman," Thank You for you dedication in your work, your dilligence in detail, and your striving to make things better. You are making monumental progress in how we want our phones to work.

BB Crackman does deserve all the thanks for how much time and effort he put into this project!!! I am really glad everyone is enjoying the benefits. :arms:
a big hats off to BB Crackman and all of the mods here....
very refreshing to see and experience everyone trying to help out, especially with so many "new" users, myself included....
nice not to be told to "use the search button next time!!!"
just wiped my Storm and loaded new BBCM V6 with .90 radio.....my platform is shown as 22.214.171.124, which from what I've read is correct....
I went into Advanced>Applications>Modules and cannot see any .90 files....shouldn't I be able to see the .90 radio files?
Loaded the .90 hybrid over .148 on my pc....
I just had to give the .90 radio a shot...never had .90 OS on my phone, so wanted to see what everyone was talking about....
also slimming down my apps to control any leaks, so I can't want to use this!
I am just curious if you are personally still running the .90 radio code over .148 V6? I just did the reload to V6 .90 because I saw your enthusiastic remarks about it. Just curious if something may have come up that might have made you switch back to .148 radio. BEST HYBRID PERIOD!-BTW
From my experience, the problem is usually what you think isn't the problem...NEOLANTIS
Ok, heres my 2 cents, lol.
This is the best OS to date period. I havent seen any interrupts with the browser. In the 132 v5.1 it seemed like the browser would load half of what it was loading, and take a 5-10 second rest, so the browser is awesome. I was having bad signal strength when I first loaded v6, but after a few hours, it is great. Apps load fast, accelerometer is quick. The biggest thing I noticed which is a huge bonus is that the color seems very vibrant and the screen resolution seems to be alot cleaner and clearer. The only real issue I ran into so far was Nate's BBOS theme did not settle in very well at first. The BBOS icon did not hit the site, it went straight to the browser instead, and the calendar did not want to open by pushing the date at the bottom of the home screen. I deleted it, and re-downloaded it and after a few more battery pulls, it runs like a champ again. By the way since I forgot to mention, I am using the .148v6, upgrading from .132v5.1. BBC, youve definitely outdone yourself on this one, mad props!!!!!!!:usa2:
