Patches over at CB says sometimes your 3rd party backup file can sometimes become corrupt.
He suggests a handheld wipe, back up your data only and then re/re all your apps one at a time.

Might help.

But I second that you need to fine tune which apps you really need to keep on your device for daily use

Rlervin what do you boot up at after a battery pull? Are you experiencing any slow down on your phone?

What OS are you running on your phone now? In loader or DM look at the core applications, and system file at the top. they should be grayed out but the status should either show upgrade or downgrade?

148 v6 and doesnt show core just apps

No you don't have to every time it is a personal preference :) But if you are following all the steps to upgrade a OS and it isn't working then I would suggest that.

what u think is wrong with it is my dm

I "had" a similar issue... I think it was because I had it in bedside mode and regardless of not being in the clock I think it still dimmed after removing from the cradle and my hand/whatever was covering the light thingy. I now take it off the bedside mode when de-cradling. Worth a try if you bedside it

Yep here are the steps I would take

Wipe phone
Delete any OS's off your PC except the one you want to install
delete the vendor file
Once your phone is done wiping launch loader and install


Yes once your phone is done loading the new OS it should show
4.0.0.181 --- 4.7.0.148 if you installed V6 .148
then go to to
options>advanced>applications? hit your bb button and select modules then scroll down you you should see some 5.0 modules :)

ok im redownloading os.
phone just came back on has lots of 5.0 files

I boot up at around 39-42 MB. When it gets down to around the low 20s the internet stalls on loading web pages.

This has been working perfectly for me. Memory boots up at around 56, and sits idle after a day of normal usage at 46.1. My apps are weatherbug, pandora, quickpull, iheartradio, google maps, airtrafficcontrol and the BB app store. This has been the best hybrid, and in that case, the best OS I've had.

I'm using the .148 radio, and never really tried .90 due to all the negative things people say about it. Why mess with success when I'm perfectly happy with .148?

Another thing I'd like to throw in is that I always do a full wipe and a full reinstall of all apps. I think this helps minimize a lot of issues people have, and if you can stand to do it every time, I highly suggest it.
