I know people have tried to break down the sfi to try to do that, but it's not possible :(

Shame but glad to hear and not surprised people tried!
Back to 148 and the 132 radio for me it is!
I Know Crackman is working on the BT volume issue. I just loaded straight 148 from the website and I still have low BT volume.
Thank god (and all here) for Hybrids!!!:arms:
This was the easiest and most streamlined yet. Now my wife can call me. Damn.
Odd, I just noticed the red LED indicator was stuck as a solid red light for about 3 minutes, the phone its self worked as normal though, odd
That has happened a couple of time for me as well. I was thinking of trying this app for next time :)

I guess patience really is a virtue. Using BBC's .148-V6 .90 now for over a week and had a few issues with freezes etc. but was determined to stick it out.
Well, I had my first random reboot yesterday after using Inteligolf and some other stuff like e-mail, SMS etc but since then the performance is the best it's been. Memory has held at 39 Mb (usually drops to low 30's) and radio signal holds at 5 bars. After using the browser mem actually recovers to 41-42 Mb. Considering I only have 43 Mb after a battery pull to begin with this is excellent. Browser is fast and the camera has never been better.
All I can say is I'm glad I didn't go drop the .90 radio and I'll take the odd reboot for the benefits of this build.
Thanks BBC etal. You guys have hit it out of the park with this one. I can hardly wait for your Hybrid of 151. :outtahere:
So I've been running v6 (.148 sfi) for 4.5 days. I agree with everyone about the positives. This hybrid is great! Runs very smooth on my storm.
However, I continue to have a memory leak somewhere. I boot up at 51MB and have seen it drop to 30-32MB. Unfortunately, the couple times it's dropped that low, I get a reboot. When it gets that low, I still see zero lag on the phone. I typically have not had that bad of memory leak or even reboots for that matter. Now, I will say I've never wiped my phone before any OS install and I've loaded about all of them (leaks & hybrids). Do you think I finally have some corrupt files?
I also have the "flicker" occasionally and it seems to be getting worse.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
So where can we get this and where can i find out what exactly a Hybrid OS is why its so different?
Please help me understand... Thank you!
A hybrid OS takes all the best files from different OS's released. Here is the link to the thread to pick it up http://www.blackberryos.com/forums/9...-everyone.html Also keep in mine the "v6-90" option uses the radio from 4.7.0.90 so use with caution!
Yes, The Hybrids have always worked better for me than the straight leaked OS's.
But the .90 sfi and my phone don't go together well, and the improved color and bigger keys weren't enough to wait out a few days to see if .90 would settle on my phone.
That's too bad. But I didn't have any major problems so to speak and believe me I'm not usually a patient person. Just had the odd freeze here and there and inconsistent memory. No BT issues etc. I probably did 8-10 battery pulls over a the 7 days and now it is working as it should. I just hope it holds up until BBC hits us with V7.
Soup, you're one of the lucky ones when it comes to .90. I got the VSOD after the 1st and 2nd battery pull. Phone loaded okay after the 3rd, but after I loaded back my apps and restored my backup and did a 4th battery pull, I got stuck with the VSOD again. I don't give up easily, so I tried 2 more battery pulls, but got the VSOD each time. VSOD on 5 out of 6 tries was enough for me. But I'm glad .90 is working for you and the others!
I also never had any issues with .90. The only reason I changed to 132 was because .90 was sluggish whereas .132 is not. If .90 was a little faster I would have kept it as signal strength, battery life and memory were all excellent.
Getting back to Xenroy's question:
You should definitely try the Hybrid v6 because it is best OS available. You might find that your phone does not work well with the .90 version or the .148 version, but there are many members here who will be happy to help you to get the version that runs best for you onto your phone.
