    Welcome to BBOS Mike.

It sounds like you haven't deleted the vendor file. Follow the link in my signature for upgrading your device. It will walk you through the process step by step...very important question....have you unplugged your bb from the computer yet?

Try the following links Mike. They will take you through step by step, the wiping and reloading an operating system onto your bb. Its a video with explanations, is very easy to follow, and an overall excellent tutorial.

    http://www.blackberryos.com/forums/b...es-videos.html

If you have nuked or bricked your device, the link below will also walk you through the process of recovering your device. Again, it is just as easy to follow as the link above.

I also think at this point Mike, you should try this operating system, and not worry about the hybrid for the time being. Lets get your device working properly again then we'll go further...

Good luck and let us know how it went.

From what I can see with just a quick glance, the version and language files. Currently I'm running the Taiwan 6.0.0.337, as well as another team member, Shimmyshine, and it's great. I have next to no memory loss and battery life seems to have been stabilized from the 224 version. I recommend using this leaked OS only because it is working fantastic for myself and Shimmy.

Beeline is fine. If you have problems with it, then try the Taiwan release. I've always used hybrids in the past and preferred them. However, the Torch is a new phone, and the hybrids are just coming out. Like all new devices, there will be tweaks made to the hybrids to make them the os we have all grown to love. The hybrid makers do a fantastic job with them but like everything else, there is a learning curve involved.
