Yep... I've done that a couple of times and same thing. BBSAK won't recognize my blackberry. I've even turned off my virus and firewall protection and nothing. I just did a factory reset, then a JL_Cmder wipe, then loaded the OS through Desktop Manager after having shrunk it, then loaded 3rs party app and then restored my back up and I'm still booting at 24mb

When you shrink the os, are you getting between 58 and 64 mb? If so, it might be something in your backup file.

No. When I load it, it loads at about 45-48mb

Then you are shrinking the operating system. Your losing your memory I believe, therough your backup. There may be something there thats duplicated or you have something your restoring that is an absolute memory pig.

I don't know what it could be then because I've used all of these apps with lyricidal's other hybrids but this is the only one where I seem to have the memory drain.

The only thing I can think of is when you did your last backup something got duplicated. Do you have a backup you can load prior to that one? By the by, when you do load the hybrid, what's your memory before you restore your backup?

If its where it should be, I may have a suggestion but you will have to reload all your apps one by one. Data you can back up another way and restore

Before I reload any third party apps or restore my back up files, I'm around 50 to 53. The only thing I'd be concerned with keeping would be my contacts and calender so I might just reload all the apps one by one.

    Perfect!

Ok, have you tried SmrtGuard yet? If not, download it and set it up...addy is www.smrtguard.com No A in there. To date I find this the best backup program out there. It comes with a 30 day free trial for all functions. Read the FAQ's, you'll find the answer to pretty much every question you have. Once its set up and functioning, goto the back up tab and back up everything.

Wipe your phone and reload the os, do not run your backup or restore feature.

Once that is done, re-install smrtguard and when ready to go, go to the restore tab. Check the boxes for what you want restored and uncheck the other boxes. Your calandar is under the events heading.

Whatever you backed up will be there.

***Before you wipe your phone, go to the SmrtGuard website and log into the account you have to create. Check the tabs in the dashboard and look in the contacts and calander tabs to ensure everything was backed up properly.

If you want help with this or if you have questions prior to wiping your phone, PM me and I'll send you my PIN and we can discuss any questions or concerns.
