I'm not familiar with JL_Cmder. You can try through the handheld or if that doesn't work, try BBSAK. Both have worked for me in the past when I started to load hybrids and found the BBSAK to be a life saver! :D

the "fix" is to wipe the apps and data off the phone and re-install. I'll think I'll wait for the next release...
Yep... I've done that a couple of times and same thing. BBSAK won't recognize my blackberry. I've even turned off my virus and firewall protection and nothing. I just did a factory reset, then a JL_Cmder wipe, then loaded the OS through Desktop Manager after having shrunk it, then loaded 3rs party app and then restored my back up and I'm still booting at 24mb
The only thing I can think of is when you did your last backup something got duplicated. Do you have a backup you can load prior to that one? By the by, when you do load the hybrid, what's your memory before you restore your backup?
If its where it should be, I may have a suggestion but you will have to reload all your apps one by one. Data you can back up another way and restore

Perfect!
Ok, have you tried SmrtGuard yet? If not, download it and set it up...addy is www.smrtguard.com No A in there. To date I find this the best backup program out there. It comes with a 30 day free trial for all functions. Read the FAQ's, you'll find the answer to pretty much every question you have. Once its set up and functioning, goto the back up tab and back up everything.
Wipe your phone and reload the os, do not run your backup or restore feature.
Once that is done, re-install smrtguard and when ready to go, go to the restore tab. Check the boxes for what you want restored and uncheck the other boxes. Your calandar is under the events heading.
Whatever you backed up will be there.
***Before you wipe your phone, go to the SmrtGuard website and log into the account you have to create. Check the tabs in the dashboard and look in the contacts and calander tabs to ensure everything was backed up properly.
If you want help with this or if you have questions prior to wiping your phone, PM me and I'll send you my PIN and we can discuss any questions or concerns.
OK... I wiped, reloaded the OS, restored my contacts and calender and then loaded my 3rd party apps one by one and I'm running at 35mb now. I didn't use Smartguard because I figured that if my backup was corrupt, it would be corrupt on Smartguard too. I'll give that a try and see what happens. Thanks!
I've had the same problem for a while now with BBSAK not seeing my BB. I'm on 64 bit Windows 7 but have tried it on other OS and the same occurs..... even after deleting/reinstalling/even going back to earlier version. I think it is something on my storm. About the only thing that works is J_Commander to wipe it.
I just wanted to chime in that this OS is beautiful. My first time running a hybrid, and wow. Smallest install yet on my S1, plenty of room for my apps. Very fast and responsive. Very stable, very little memory leakage. Everything works (unlike the camera in .685!). If anyone else is new like me and hasn't made the hybrid leap yet, in the words of Ben Stiller, DO IT. You'll be glad you did. Thanks, Lyricidal!
Sings like a babby. No issues found.
