Willyboy 8900 v4.4 .656/.676/.692
This is a hybrid for the Curve 8900 (Javelin) device. I recommend uninstalling any other OS’s off of your computer and running CCleaner (including registry cleaner) to ensure a clean install. Please back up all your data before proceeding.
-This is meant to install over the LEAKED 188.8.131.520 base OS. Install this first.
-Run Willyboy 8900 v4.4.exe to install the hybrid over the base.
-"Exit" the installer, Shrink-A-OS will pop up. Shrink out all languages you do not need to save space. DO NOT shrink out default fonts and themes.
-If you choose to wipe, now would be the time to do it.
-Launch loader from SAOS. If core applications are missing from loader selection, try launching from BBSAK or BBMCP.
This is a .656/.676/.692 build.
-East Asian Language support is included and fully functional.
-Google Maps, UberTwitter, Twitter for BlackBerry, App World, and Xtreme Labs Speedtest are all included and functional (I fixed the alx's! These are optional during install)
-Includes all stock Blackberry games and IM Applications with loader options.
-Includes an option to install the NEW Driphter.com Mobile Launcher!
-I made BBM an optional install for those of you who don't use it and need memory.
Stuck with the .656 base java in this one. I was really pleased with how the .656 files improved the UI performance. Kept the .676 Pearl files around because I feel like they improved internet speeds and also boot time. The real killer here is the new .692 9650 files. I've never seen such a compatible group of files! They mesh real well with the phone and with the other files. You will not be disappointed with this one!
It is important to keep in mind that the first couple reboots will take a lot longer than normal. Also, battery life will not be good until the device settles which usually takes 24-48 hours.
Help Screen (alt+shift+h) and about screen will both read as App Version 184.108.40.2062. If you want to verify you installed otherwise, go to Options>Applications>Menu>Modules and scroll down to see the .692 files.
Please post your comments and feedback! ENJOY!
