Go and get CCleaner and delete all RIM files from your PC.
ensure your temp files are empty and restart
Load the RIM files up again with a clean OS and good luck.

Sounds like a right beast of a hybrid?

Also, run task manager and shut down ALL processes that start with RIM or Blackberry in there. Just end them.
Run DM again and you should see the difference.
Thats what I do and it usually allowes me to regain control of the device.

I usually find my device wont connect after I have used BBSAK or MCP. But follow the steps I set out and you should get it back on line.

done that a few times, the pin shows but no actually connection with the BB, I cannot wipe my rancid installs. The phone is acting quite special now. Press one button, other things happen. I'm still smiling, just fustrated

Have you tried booting up in safe mode to see if you can connect that way? Safe mode is typically used to disable 3rd party apps but it might be worth a shot.

Thats also a good way to delete the 3rd party apps from the PC.
Safe mode wont let them run so its easier to get shot that way.

thanks for the help folks, im happy to see the Reload Software: 507 Error. I uninstalled everything blackberry related and reinstalled, BBSAK was able to connect and I could wipe the phone, time to get back to normal.

Thats great news, at last a work around getting back on track.
If you want a good stable hybrid, I am running with Lydrical at the moment.
Stead build, not his latest (although I am not slagging this off , I havent tried it) the one before.
