Thread: Willyboy 9000 v3.1 .601/.612

This is a hybrid for the Bold 9000 device. I recommend uninstalling any other OS’s off of your computer and running CCleaner (including registry cleaner) to ensure a clean install. Please back up all your data before proceeding.

-This is meant to install over the leaked 5.0.0.592 base OS. Install this first.
-Run Willyboy 9000 v3.1.exe to install the hybrid over the base.
-"Exit" the installer, Shrink-A-OS will pop up. Shrink out all languages you do not need to save space. DO NOT shrink out default fonts and themes.
-If you choose to wipe, now would be the time to do it.
-Launch loader from SAOS. If core applications are missing from loader selection, try launching from BBSAK or BBMCP.

This is a .601/.612 build.

-This definitely boots up faster than v3
-East Asian Language support is included
-Dcom Downloads launcher was included for fast access to great downloads!

I focused on reducing the memory leak in this one. This hybrid has improved UI speeds, transitions, and internet/browser speeds over straight .554. Battery life will also be improved. It is important to keep in mind that the first couple reboots will take a lot longer than normal. Also, battery life will not be good until the device settles which usually takes 24-48 hours.

Help Screen (alt+shift+h) and About both read 5.0.0.612. This may read as a downgrade in loader depending on your method, however, it definitely is NOT a downgrade.

I came across a small bug with the help of a user today. If you open up your "search" application you will not actually be able to executed a search. Please download and install the patch below to enable this ability.

If you do not use the search, then I would not worry about this patch.

I have updated the installer in the OP to reflect this patch as well, so if you download after this point there is no need to install this patch. This is strictly for users who have previously installed and use the search function.

Still having a big memory leak issue! Less than 24 hrs gets me down to less than 6mb! Just don;t remember having this issue with .509

Please give it some time to settle in. Try the memory booster application in my OP. You might want to look in to some of the apps and themes that you are using as well. The leak should be improved on this version. Many people are commenting that it is better after running for a couple days....

you run twitter application or / and facebook?

those 2 apps are major memory drainers ._."

(well at least they drain my memory a lot)
