    Willyboy 9000 v2 .554/.566/.571

This is a hybrid for the Bold 9000 device. I recommend uninstalling any other OS’s off of your computer and running CCleaner (including registry cleaner) to ensure a clean install. Please back up all your data before proceeding.

-This is meant to install over the leaked 5.0.0.554 base OS.
-Run Willyboy 9000 v2.exe to install the hybrid over the base.
-"Exit" the installer, Shrink-A-OS will pop up. Shrink out all languages you do not need to save space. DO NOT shrink out ringtones, wallpapers, or themes.
-If you choose to wipe, now would be the time to do it.
-Launch loader from SAOS. If core applications are missing from loader selection, try launching from BBSAK or BBMCP.

    This is a .554/.566/.571 build.

    100+ .571 files
    500+ .566 files

    -East Asian Language Support
    -New leaked BBM 5.0.0.65
    -Fast boot times

Help Screen (alt+shift+h) and About both read 5.0.0.571

Sketchy trackball in app switcher among other places is still present. Will work on resolving this for v2.1. No other noticeable bugs. Fast UI, stable memory, still too early to tell with battery.

Please post your comments and feedback! They will be taken in to consideration for v2.1!

    Download Willyboy 9000 v2

Hi willyboy thats a great work by you. I have just installed this hybrid. it's even better then the previous ones. So far solid. Memory holding well. Only question I have is leaked BBM is 5.0.0.65 or .66? Or both?

    Thanks!

BBM .66 just leaked today. When this hybrid released .65 was the most recent available.

Thanks i installed .66 with your hybrid. I must say your hybrids are very solid. And also easy for someone like me to install. Once again thanks man. Now we are addicted to your hybrids. :hail:

    Two questions

    Hey Willyboy!

I am currently still running V1.2 w/.464 radio - two questions:

    1) Do you plan on fixing the VVM problem with V1.3 so we can get our beloved "real" standby back?

    2) On V2 - if the radio proves to be problematic like .509 - can I use the .464 radio as far as you know?

    Thanks,

    DonH

I did not test it, but I'd be willing to bet that the .464 radio bricks on v2. When I have some more time I will look bck and v1.3 and see if I can roll out a v1.4 for those users who prefer that. But that won't last forever. RIM is going in a different direction and with the higher builds its going to be hard to keep updating older radios.

Thanks for the feedback and I appreciate you running my builds

totally awesome the total memory is now 74MB , on the last one it was on the 60's.. battery life is good. the only thing is, no east asian lang for me. When installing, no east lang files.. =(

oh btw, I tried copying east asian lang before from .411 but it only appeared on the installation, not on my bb.. do you still have copy of the .464 east asian files? =) just wonderin if u can email it to me

i think is better to let willyboy solve this issue 4us since i read in one of his other posts that there might be some -potential- compatibility issues...
