    I noticed the 517 version is for a carrier other than Verizon. Can the 517 version be used on a 9550 that is on the Verizon network, and then have the 591 hybrid updates installed on it??

    Yes....just make sure to delete vendor.xml file.

    Just make usre you Delete the Vendor.xml file.

    I have been running this since it released and its WICKED fast. The keyboard right now has a drop of lag but all is good everywhere else.

    I agree. This is the fastest my Storm 2 has ever been. No lag and browser rocks finally. Thank you for this hybrid.

    i already have 517 installed... can i just copy the java files and load the os with out doing a wipe

    Also......

    Follow these steps from 1st post...

    To install:

    Download and install 517 for the 9550

    This hybrid is unshrunk, shrink out anything you do not want

    Add the files from the patch to the java
    folder of the os you just downloaded and installed.

    You can find the OS folders in X:/Program files/common files/research in motion/shared/loader files/.517

    It appears that the domain used by OOAK and Lyricidal is down (theiexplorers.com). Anyone know of a mirror site?

    I put them out on my one server I have, so anyone that needs them is welcome to grab them. You can FTP them from ftp.leadmon.net, or I will put a couple URL's below if it helps anyone.
