I checked my memory after installing OS before adding my apps and it was at 42. Then I loaded all my apps (rough count 45 apps) and was very happy to see that my theme worked in this OS. My memory after booting with all these apps is 26.97 and it takes less than 2 minutes to boot.

I am having one issue with Fixmo Tools, can't clear cache with it because it freezes screen afterward it runs. In QuickLaunch, memory cleaner won't run at all. Don't know where the memory cleaner is in options to run it from there.

I use BerryBuzz and it works better on this OS. Browser works and I have VVM, but haven't gotten a call so don't know if that works.

Since this is my first time using OS5, there are some changes that are going to take getting used to. The main one that I don't like is I get Twitter texts and they all go into one 'Chat' so it is hard to scroll through them. I know this is the way of the OS and not your build, but still hard to get used to. The new texts also don't show on my home screen today feature like messages do anymore. I don't know if other themes would display text msgs in today or if this is an OS limitation.

I will post again after I have used it for a while. I went to bed right after I finished installing everything and have only used BBM and texts and the browser so far. Making a note here: I took phone off charger at 5am and now at 8:40am I am at 75% battery.

1st of thanks for using the hybrid..

fixmo and quick launch cant work because I remove the memory cleaner on the os..Why i believe that the memory cleaner it self causing the memory leak. so i remove it but if you wan it back you can just do it just like copy-paste the java folder but not deleting the original java folder just replace it...it will show the memory cleaner again

Maybe I installed the hybrid wrong. I copied the files inside your java folder and pasted them inside the existing os java folder. Was I supposed to replace the java folder with yours and just add the additional cods I wanted? I just looked in the modules listed in the core os and the memory cleaner module is in there.

I copied and pasted like you did and it worked fine. I did stuff up the first time. Not sure why. So i uninstalled and reinstalled .464 and repeated the process and was successful.

Xonz, I don't know how u do it but you make the best hybrids. I ran 4.6v2.1 for ages until I couldn't resist trying os5 and every time I installed a problematic os 5 I always reinstalled your hybrid. 5...238 as good for a while and .464 was the closest to being perfect for me apart from the locking issue for which I found standby just fine. Now yours has made my BB that much more stable I'm stoked. My memory remained above 35mb all day yesterday after booting with 36.9mb. I used my BB pretty heavily during the day and after 24hrs off the charger I still had 55% this morning. Simply awesome. Keep up the great work.

if the memory cleaner module is there, try re-installing the os and when u have to choose the application dont forget to tick the memory cleaner it should be there..

dont worry about the memory cleaner its not quite useful... faster doing quickpull since the restart dont take so much time

Standby is much more useful since it make the battery more efficiently rather than just key lock only :cool2:

Crap! Don't know what I did! Everything seems to be working fine EXCEPT the browser. What's strange is that I can actually surf pages through opened links, but when I press the browser button to open a session I just get an uncaught exception flag!
Have wiped and reloaded twice, with batt pulls plus sent AT&T svce books so I can't figure what's going on...
Anyone had this problem?

1. general backup with DM
2. erased old OS .464
3. reloaded it
4. copied over all hybrid's java contents into OS java folder and replaced files
5. backed up all apps with bbsak
6. wiped with bbsak
7. shrank-a-os as usual
8. loaded
9. batt pull
10. restored data with DM
11. batt pull
12. resent AT&T svce books

as mentioned, the only thing that seems to be having an issue is the BB browser, othere than that wifi, SS, Uber, T4BB, etc work and boot is faster.
Another question is what is the file CJK.alx and what do I do with it? I put it in the OS folder...

Let me know if I missed anything!

CJK is for the east Asian language for the font and the input..

Will try to look into the problem... could you give the link what causing the problem?

Any link. Problem starts as soon as I try to open the browser.
I immediately get a message saying: " Uncaught exception:java.lang.IllegalArgumentException"
It then takes a long time and several "Ok" presses before I can do anything...

Any link.. wow its new to me... tried it in several bold and its okay.. working smooth

Try using other 464 base..
Try to install app one by one..

When I couldn't install this hybrid 2 night's ago, I downgraded my BB OS to a stock .411. I uninstalled .464 from my pc, reinstalled it, cut and pasted the hybrid java into the .464 java, ran Apploader and let it do the back up and install. Hope this works for you.

Thanks!. I think my problem may be something related to my theme or something in my data backup. when I loaded the hybrid prior to restoring device database the browser worked fine. I did a general restore and it started giving me the error again. I will start over and then advance restore until I find the culprit.
I will report my findings...
