After you have installed your original OS on your PC you will find a folder there

    program files/common files/research in motion/shared/...yourOS.../java

You have to only delete the content of the java folder and then copy the content of the hybrid into that empty java folder - has to remain its name for the "install to berry" applications...

If it sits at the same "postition" as the old one, and is named like the old one (JAVA) then it should be fine

I have tried installing this hybrid 4 times and everytime, blackberry maps will not install. Is anyone else having this problem? It's really quite aggrivating.

I read a quick blurb out there...not here...that BB maps may have issues with .464
I suggest loading google maps at m.google.com/maps
I don't use BBmaps...I like google maps much better anyway.

Hey Guys, I guess i have a couple of questions. This is my first time loading a hybrid onto a Storm 2 (just picked it up Friday). I'm trying to figure out how to load the files outside of the java folder. I deleted the contents of the original java folder and replaced them with the files from the hybrid java folder. However, Nothing out side of the Java folder loaded onto the phone. (Operamini, Bolt, etc.) Am i loading something wrong? I am just really confused!! Thanks in advance for all help!

You are going to delete the entire Java folder, and copy/paste the Hybrid Java folder into OS. Nothing outside of the Java folder will change. Go to apploader and load it onto your phone. Have you ever changed an OS before? (Noticed you mentioned just getting your S2), because you can take advantage of this if not.

I shrunk this version and got rid of all the language files, OTA upgrade.
Has anyone else done this and installed without any problems.

Please explain to me why it created a Removed Files folder and put 29 .cod files in there? Is that something that needs to be in there?

seanren and lyricidal shrink or remove files that are not commonly used or needed. They put them in a folder and include them incase you want to use them. But the folder does not install.
    Hope that helps a little.
An example is ,I use voice activated dialing all the time but the files were removed already so I installed them after using Master Control Program.
