Thread: Seanren78 95xx V.1 Hybrid

Well Hello! I have put together another Hybrid.

The base OS for the 9550 is 428.

The base OS for the 9520 is 436.li

I have added in some some 442 files for the browser and some. The 442 files seem to be real friendly with the clickability and stability of the phone. You will for sure notice an increase in browser speed.

I have added roughly 20+ files of 464 and I have noticed a definite increase in the phones speed. I have not loaded a bunch of 464 files because I want to see how they settle in on battery life. As for this one V.1 is flying on the internet....battery stability is up as well as overall phone performance. The more 464 files you add the farther you get from the origional phone build and you use integrity of the phone.

The rest of the files are 451.

This is a shrunken version!

Which radio would we have to use for 9500? Any recommendation, could/should it be the .451?

9500? I'm not to sure but it would need to be 4xx in order to be compatible with the files.

Wait for V.2.....working on it now should release it in a week or so. Just waiting to see how these 464 files settle. To many of them decrease battery life and stability of the phone. There is also the new 8530 Leak, which I may toy around with!

Im seeing this decrease in battery life and my speaker is currently going wacko, all distorted cannot make out much when talking to someone, nice and loud but very distorted. Was not like this with previous os's think I should wipe and reload .428 see if it goes away to confirm this?

Sorry I can't be more help. All phones react differently. I would wipe and reinstall hybrid, and see if it changes anything.

Wipe and re-install what? .428 and then this java file or just .428?

Can you check on the Custom contact "SMS" ringtone option and see if it works for you? I assigned a ringtone for some of my contacts but the tone does not ring. The default one rings instead. The regular call ringtone work just the sms one does not. Other than that, This Hybrid is "FLAWLESS"...

I'm sorry...I would wipe my BB using BBSAK. I would uninstall device software from PC, delete .428 from PC, reload a fresh .428 and replace Java file with this hybrid, and load onto BB using apploader.

How did you test this theory because I've never been able to get this to work for me? Have you assigned an sms tone for one or many contacts and then tested it or what? When you load the OS and Hybrid, are you just loading 428 w/out shrinking then just loading Hybrid over the OS and loading on BB? I did exactly that and I still have this issue..

I've had mine setup that way and they have worked...I can't test now, but I will and letcha know.

Am so bumbed out that I cannot enjoy this Sik Hybrid because of this sms tone issue. :irked:. Am curious to know why "I am the Only one" having this issue.

Sorry buddy...was busy.

I have 2 options for custom ringtones...1 for phone & 1 for messages....and messages does not designate whether it's email messages or SMS messages. I only have one person that I have a specific tone set in messages and I haven't heard from him in a while. I sent him a text to send me a test SMS and a test email...but it maybe morning...before he gets back to me and I'll let you know how that goes.

I heard back from my friend. I have custom ringtone set for him for "messages", and on an email I get the custom tone. On a SMS, I get the tone I have set up for all SMS, so nothing different. If this is what you are referring to, I do not get custom tones for SMS, but DO get custom tone for email.
