I am currently running 5.0.0.419. Does this install over top or do I have to completely wipe and reinstall?

hey guys not trying to be dumb here but is it as simple as it sounds, no backups or anything? just download and load? i just finally "mastered"(loosely saying that is!) the whole loading a os thing so im just double checking.

ALWAYS backup first. No matter what there is always a chance of losing all the info on the phone.

ty sir! getting harder and harder to top the last one lol. we'll see what I have up my sleeve next. let's cross our fingers for a 9630 leak so I have a new radio to play with!

I am really feeling like a noob now.... I downloaded the EXE and doubled clicked it. It unloaded into a folder. I plugged in my BB and started the Loader Launcher, but it did not find any upgrade to load.

What am I doing wrong?

I figured it out and am loading it now.

ok just me being the noob that i am and still learning on the fly, how does one know if this took or not? mine did exactly as tattooz described at first.

First off, when you ran the Loader did you select the second option to "downgrade"? To see if it took, go to OPTIONS > ABOUT and on the 3rd line it will say the OS. If it say v5.0.0.411, you did it right.

ah. i did not chose that option and my phone still says .419 so will do and check back. thanks!!

Battery life is SICK!!

According to Meterberry, after 13 1/2 hours with moderate usage, my battery is sitting at 63%.....
