OOAKDPC 95X0 464 Hybrid
OOAKDPC 95X0 464 Hybrid
This is still a work in progress, please keep that in mind. These are all the files I've been able to make work so far.
I have decided not to make the installer
this is the entire 451 java folder,
127 .464 files
with bbm 18.104.22.168, app world, facebook, docs to go etc...
It is only the java, apps, and tools folders
Install your base:
9530 users: 419
9500 users: 451
9520 users: 436
9550 users: 428
delete the java folder in the base OS from your pc
(You can find the OS folders in X:/Program files/common files/research in motion/shared/loader files/your os)
install the hybrid (with the installer version you have to choose the os folder to install to)
Shows .464 in the Help>About Screen
For more help with installation please check out this...
The links are just finishing uploading now so if they don't work right away wait about 10 mins and try again.
Thanks for this, i'm going to give it a go see how I get on.
/edit: Can't get the shrunk version to install - loader is complaining that there is a missing English language file. Unshrunk version seems seems to be installing fine.

Installed the shrunk version a few hours ago. So far memory is holding at 36.8 after initial start up of 37.2 with all my apps and email reloaded.
Being Sunday. its not getting the use it will be getting thru out the work week. I'll post more findings after some work week use.
Thanks for all your hard work OOAKDPC
Just got my S2 less then a week ago can't wait to load up some hybrids on it. Installing now will report back OOAK.
So after Shrinking the OS upon first boot I ended up with 144.6MB of app memory. After loading all apps I am sitting at a very nice 130.8MB. Transitions seem to be very smooth Browser speeds are about the same as .428Base IMO. So far so good we all know issues usually tend to happen after a few days will report back but thanks for all the hard work OOAK it's much appreciated...
Problem with Blackberry Maps
Love this hybrid but I cannot get BB Maps to load. If I run straight .419 (shrunk) I don't have any issues. When I load this hybrid, it tells me the same modules are loaded as with .419 but there is no screen icon.
Anyone else having any trouble in this regard? Is anyone having any issues with GPS?
Giving this a whirl -- OOAKPC .436 was pretty good then I went to Lyricidal .451 which was also pretty good -- great screen click, weird battery behavior at times --- Ill report back!
I decided to try this hybrid I had tried seanren's and lyricals .451 battery life has been an issue for me on those, this hybrid I have not installed meterberry yet but My status says 55% after 12hrs of off and on browser use during the day, a few phone calls and texting all day so Im quite happy with that at the moment....
