I don't want to rep my own work, but this is the best my tour has run since Dv2 which was 419/411/421 build. Honestly. This is worth the time to install!

Well put! Some 3500 views and 200 posts should indicate either real problems or a great hybrid - and I am sure, it is the latter one

sure thing. Because you already have .419 installed to your computer you just have to download my exe to your computer. Then run the program. Dv4 will install overtop of the .419 os you already have on your computer. When it is done there is an option to run Shrink-a-OS. Run this program and select the box at the top of SAOS that states this is in my os folder. Now remove any things you don't use. For first timers I suggest just removing all languages, default videos, and any games you don't use. Click shrink. When done, plug in your blackberry and click launch loader.

From here forward it will look just like you are used to. Watch for a screen in loader that MAY say "use older files provided by the desktop manager". If it says that choose it and continue your loading. This is refered to as a "downgrade" even though you are actually upgrading . . .

ENJOY and feel free to ask me any q's if you hit any snags. driphter@bbhybrids.net

If you view your applications list (Options > apps I think), then view the modules (menu > modules), it should list versions and you should see several different versions for all the net_rim files.

    no luck

tried uploading this twice today and no luck either time. i can get it installed and when i go to Options -> About it says it's .442, but i can't get the BES to activate. I had my password reset and tried numerous times with no luck... any chance there is a detailed guide on how to install this type of hybrid/patch?

Try a stock theme and see if this corrects ur issue. Some 3rd party themes don't mix well with hybrids

best thing to do is back up your data with DM and use bbsak to do a 3rd party app backup. Then install the base os to your computer first. Then install the hybrid to your computer. This adds a ton of files to the base os you just loaded. Then use shrink a os to shrink out what you don't use, plug in yourbb, and then launch loader. Loader will let you choose what you are loading to your bb. Good luck
