Great job as usual. Working great. Very smooth transitions; quick browser and strong radio. Camera is the fastest it has ever been and is now fun to use. It's what the Storm should be. Thanks Lyricidal. :hail:

HarlyFan if you don't mind me asking what apps do you have? Because I am running .436 and I want more apps and decent memory!

    Hello to All,
I have the .419 straight OS running and am satisfied with it the most part, (still have battery drain and dimming issue). I want to try Lyricdal's .451 Hybrid on my Tmobile 9530. My question is can I use his Hybrid and upgrade from .419 to .419/.451 using SAOS apploader? Will I be able to upgrade to the Hybrid without doing a new install? I had to call Tmobile to get this Storm running on the internet, as I could never get the Host Routing Tables, it wouldn't Register Now for me, so I had to call Tmobile and that always is more trouble than it's worth..lol. I posted at CB, but nobody's home and I have the time now to do it. Thanks for reading this, any help would be appreciated.

    Hi breiti!
It's Shrink-A-OS that Lyridical uses in his Hybrid's. It uses BB apploader. Thanks for the post!

Ok, thanks, now I get it - SAOS uses just the standard apploader from RIM, so it calls for an official software to jump in.

Hm, after a complete new install of OS core files, the device will reboot and try to re-register with RIM - if this is not working correctly, you potentially have to resend service books and re-register HRT... I did many OS experimenting, in nearly all cases I was fine with only resending service books - no need for me to get HRT back...but this might not be a guarantee...

    Thanks breiti,
If I wasn't on Tmobile it would do the Register Now thing and get back the service books and HRT tables. The Tmobile BB rep said that to get everything right, I would need to call and let him setup the phone from his end. (I did it when I upgraded from .148 to .419). It was ok with them just a hassle getting to the right person to do it.

Hm, the DM backup and restore function offers a lot, even service books can be restored there under advance options and opening a backup file - but HRT, pfew...let me call the others for help!

I'm running lyricidal's .419/.428 hybrid. To try the new .451, do I need to wipe and load the .419 straight....THEN load the new hybrid on top of that?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I've only done one hybrid install from the straight OS before..so, I'm a little noobish on it..

    ON EDIT...

OOOPS...NEVER MIND..Missed the fine print in the first post..:22:
