Hey Sean, great hybrid. It really improves the phone overall. I just have one question though, it seems like the enhanced gmail plugin won't work. It didn't come with the OS and I can't get it to work even after downloading it. Any ideas?
Yeah that happened to me as well, and I installed it and it still doesn't seem to work. Not a huge deal though...everything else works great so I'll be sticking with this build. Thanks for looking into it!
gmail plugin seems to work for me, never used it tho.
Hey Sean..what did you come up with in regards to the issue am having?
Wirelessly posted (STORM 2, 9550)
First off thanks. Loaded your hybrid today & so far seems like a great build. Have to admit this is the first time I'm trying one of your builds and thus far its been flawless. Ive only been running this for about 8-12 hours but typically by now I would have been able to tell what's going to work on my storm and what's not!
Really looking forward to the increase in battery life that's been reported. On first impressions phn does seem to have an over all "snappier" feeling to it. As someone else had reported my screen click is vastly improved. Almost entirely worth the upgrade in of its self. On a side note, if someone where to tell me to change my OS to improve my screen click I woulda thought they where crazy but Dam its true lol.
Anyway ill report back when I have more but thanks a lot!

great to hear everything is working for you!! Can't wait for the next leak to build on this one....Just looking for the perfect storm 2!
We know Sean is the man, great to see you cooking up some hybrids. I would definitely put this on my phone knowing the quality of person in the OP
This has been flawless for me! Great job Sean. Thanks for the work on this.

Dunno if it's the beta BerryWeather I loaded yesterday and/or this particular build, but my battery life has been amazing so far. Sitting overnite receiving whatever emails and BerryWeather updating hourly (one location), MeterBerry suggested a discharge rate of .2%/hour for the 10 hour period between when I watched a movie then zzzzz and this a.m.
Typically other builds if good with battery management will discharge at 1.0% - 1.7% overnite, and those not so good discharge at 2.5%+ per hour overnite.
I've not done a lot of calling, surfing, or emailing with this load so far--only had in on for about 36 hours, but tomorrow's Monday and that will change.
And, phone is very crisp and fast. Nice build so far--thanks SR!
Could be a combination of both for sure, but I am also absolutely sure, that SR has released something great here
I tried this hybrid after having a problem with the 428 leak and OOAKDPC 428/436 hybrid. Unfortunately, I still have the problem with this one. To begin with, I used BBSAK to wipe the phone to eliminate any issues. I installed this hybrid. Then installed my firethorn mobile banking application. As with the others, I get an error stating "Certificate not issued from expected source. The application is currently in offline mode." As I posted in another thread, I found a site where someone with a similar problem was told by their bank "the problem you are experiencing with the mobile banking application is a result of the beta firmware (release) on your device. The update contains out-dated versions of the root certificates for your device and mobile banking relies on the root certificates to run securely. Since the application is unable to find the proper root certificates, it will fail.
I'm wondering if Seanren78 has any thoughts on this issue. As I said, the official 320 works, but the leaked 428 and all hybrids I've tried fail. One last thing, the Verisign/RSA Secure Server Root certificate shows a red x and says it expired January 7, 2010. At breiti suggestion, I tried sending it to myself and reaccepting it and that did not work. I also set the device date back before that date and it changed the x to a yellow ?, but the problem remained. This has been true of the 428 and the other hybrid.

Does this hybrid play divx and xvids?
Just installed this and it is great... but still no xvid support.... the last time i managed to get xvids to work was on 188.8.131.520
