Works for the 9530 and 9500


this is the entire 436 java folder with bbm 5.0.0.57, app world, facebook, docs to go etc...


It is only the java, apps, and tools folders

Installation:

Install 419 (9500 users install 425)

delete the java folder in device OS folder from your pc

install the hybrid (with the installer version you have to choose the os folder to install to)

Hello OOAKDPC just wondering if the .421 browser can be applied with the storm 1 please say yes the browser is sick. put the .451 on last night its good. thanks

Hey d 1000 i tried the .451 last night as it first dropped and its pretty good so far. though still early this morning have 37.6 in memory with about 10-11 app and 2 themes. Phone hasnt been turned off and battery still good.

Hey I've had this running since yesterday wake up this morning with still 40 mb of memory with about 10 apps and browser is sick fast. I did try the .421 browser patch yesterday can't hold up to this great job OOAK

I think, browser speed with 421 and 451 is at least quite the same!

Sorry I am a tad confused.
Could you explain why or how to use a shrunk version?
Unshrunk just installs normally right?
I know the shrunk is done so for file size but how do you use it... Please?

a Shrunk version is one where OOAKDPC has already shrunk OS to remove items normally not used. You would install the same as unshrunk version.
Some people DL the unshrunk version and run program "shrink a os"...which is included in the installer version...and shrink out what they want.

I use the Shrunk version because OOAK shrinks his jussssssst the way I like 'em. Hope I answered your question. Enjoy.

After almost 36hrs of running this hybrid I must say that I love the quickness and great transition response it has with my phone. I must also add I like the .451 in my about screen . I just tried running BBampd v2 theme and it just crashed my phone so I am deleting it now but other then that no complaints here.

I keep seeing ppl talk about a patch? A .421patch and a .442 patch. Wat are they and where ya'll funding these things?

They were done from a former OS to potentially increase browser speed, you can
DL the .421 browser pach from BBHybrids here
...but I am not so sure, if it's really still required, since it is said, that the .451 browser should perform equally well.

And the .442 patch is for the Storm 9550/9520 and OOAKDPC 428/436/451 Hybrid to replace most of the remaining 436 files with 442 files - but it is imho not needed for the Storm 1

Breiti thanx. Didn't know .451 was official for s1. But unfortunately I'm running 9530. Is it possible to run it or atleast the java on my 9530?

Yes, definitely, that's what the new hybrids are about - if unsure to try it directly without touching your original CDMA folder - you could go for on the great hybrids as well!
