so, if i want to install this, AND add spanish/eventlog viewer / setup wizzard

    how should i proceed ?

the readme of shrink a os says that i should tick what i want restored and selec shrink, but that seems like the correct way to remove something :P

any idea why the bbmaps app is not showing ? (its icon at least)

ill try to launch it with quicklaunch :P

also, appworld .24 is out, would be a good idea to add that :P

pd: is bbm5 the last version ?

EDIT: maps does launch with quicklaunch

EDIT2: could there be a problem with uninstalling and/or updating the pre included appworld ?

Not sure, shows up over here. Anyone else having this issie?

I tried to download .24 to add to the mix but rim was doing something and it would not let me download it.

Yes this is the latest bbm5

there shouldn't be any problems upgrading, I haven't tried since yesterday.

Movistar Argentina. Even if it Argentina apeared under the countries that had maps available, it seems that we dont (it had ** besides the country name).

The bbmaps icon was there when i got the phone, but no longer after trying hybrids.

also, with this hybrids, i couldnt update appworld to .24 until i removed .23 cods and wiped and reinstalled.

Why is my carrier relevant ? (just curios)

pd: now that i think about it, movistar was my carrier until yesterday, i canceled my Movistar blackberry plan, and got one from Personal Argentina, BIS is still inactive, probable til monday

Wanted to post this issue in here in the event any others using the .405 Hybrid are having the same problem, but I've tried downloading & updating my BB AppWorld to the new .24 release, and every time I try, it goes through the whole process (Status bar fills up) and then says 'Download Failed'. The details tells me that the error is "910 Application Authorization Failure" after it seems to have dl'd it. Any others getting the same issue? How did you correct it?

Not caring for this hybrid that much. Has some lag and the spinning clock runs quite a bit. Also, I installed a new theme and moving apps to other folders was quite slow. Think I'm going back to .402. Didn't seem as slow.

both on the 402 and 405 hybrids i had the appworld problem for updating, so i just removed the cods and installed the firmware with no appworld included, and installed it afterwards.

Im thinking about going back to the first one that OOAK put out, before the .402 one. I didn't have a single issue out of it, put 402 on there and my phone started acting up, put 405 on and it started acting a little better, but I keep having weird things happen like WiFi turns itself on for no reason, the AppWorld issue where I can't d/l it, quite a bit of laggy screens/delayed responses. I'm gonna wipe and reinstall OOAK's first 9550 Hybrid he released a few weeks back and see if it's as good as I remember it. Methinks it is, and me also thinks I play with this phone too much and should leave it be when it's fully functional and fast! hehe

Last edit here, ignore my nonsense below, I'm a complete moron apparently, and didn't see my own freaking post about 14 posts up this VERY page above here. Too much time in front of a PC yesterday for work I guess, but if I ticked off any of the mods, please accept my apologies for doing so. I didn't intend the message to sound directed towards anyone personally, just had no idea where my post went, and obviously it'd gone nowhere. The mods do a wonderful job of keeping this place a great environment for all of us BB freaks/addicts, and having ran my own BBS for over 10 years, I know that is WAY more difficult that most of us realize. Thanks again to Jnespa for PMing with me and showing me that as usual, I'm the one who made the error

Hey Rcocch, I actually posted a reply in this thread about BB AppWorld v.124 download issue very shortly before you did, because I figured it had something to do with this .405 hybrid, but apparently my post got either moved or deleted, so it didn't help to problem solve/explain the issue those of us on .405 were having with downloading Appworld, which was what I'd hoped it would do.

    [MORONIC RAMBLING]
I'm unclear about all these replies of mine getting moved, as I posted my AppWorld issue IN THIS THREAD because I knew that other Storm 2 users, running THIS exact hybrid, would see it and could be the most informative. I didn't want to create it in the "BB AppWorld upgraded to ...124" because anyone with a BB is posting in that thread, not specifically those using the .405 Hybrid like we all are. Can someone please send a PM or something if they have to move a post and it isn't blatently obvious as to why it's being moved. I think had the moderator read my post more closely, they'd have seen it DID belong in this thread, as I posted it as a possible .405 Hybrid issue.
    [/MORONIC RAMBLING]

    Thanks!!!

(PLEASE Note, I don't use CAPS to 'yell' so please don't take this as an 'angry' post, using them to show inflection, because italics don't show up as well and are mostly missed. Just letting you know)
