Shouldn't the branding version be different? Mine was as well, but I show 184.108.40.2061 as my OS. I wondered about this when I loaded mine, which was about 30 minutes after I first took my new Storm2 out of the box, so in my haste to play with my new toy, I might've done something wrong. I haven't had a single operational issue, the homescreen icons update as they should, so I was thinking that perhaps that branding version would probably be different for every diff device? I also painstakingly counted through the files to see how many I had from each build, and it matched the OP information. Can someone confirm that the branding not matching the OP photo is normal?
Edit: Wow, I also just noticed all the sample stuff is still on mine as well.....not that its an issue since I now have an huge amount of memory available, but I wouldn't mind removing them. Can I just go in using shrink a OS, loading the file from same place I loaded it onto my phone, and shrink those right outta there? I know I wasn't able to do so on my v5 build for my Storm1, so thought maybe it was a v5 OS issue.

I'm right with you Jason! I've been trying to delete those sample things for awhile now. No luck with Shrink A OS. If I knew which .cod files they were, I would do it manually.

I loaded this hybrid when it first came out and I don't have any sample photos or ringtones, but before I always did even with SAOS, everything else is great, so nice to have the home screen updating again, Thanks OOAK :fing02:

Maybe its my 'noob'ness here, but what is MCP? M*** Control Panel? Not sure what the M stands for. Can you inform on what that prog is so I can give it a shot as well? Is it for computer desktop or like the old MemBoost app that you can do it straight from the BB itself? Any info is greatly appreciated

Thanks for the info. I actually did download that to my desktop pc at home the other day, just hadn't had a chance to play around with it much yet. Hopefully I can use it to remove the samples as stated, since I can't seem to get any other program to remove them. Thanks again!
