GPS On Blackberry Storm

Avid golfer trying to use golf GPS Software. Manufacturer says program works on Storm. I have tried several GPS programs and get GPS not available. Just did GPS test and timed out. Thoughts?

on your phone go to options> advanced options > Gps

gps data source = device gps

gps services = location on

location aiding = enabled

All of my setting are correct. The BB maps just churns at searching for satellites.

If bb maps will not work neither will anything else. let me see what i can find.
maybe someone else that sees this will know of the top of their head.

All of my settings are correct. BB Maps never connect to satellites

It's a known issue with the Storm. Do a battery pull and then go outside to a place with an unobstructed view of the sky and launch BB Maps again , click the satellite icon and it should get a fix. I've found that most apps that need the gps almost always have a hard time getting the initial fix. Sometimes it helps to start BB Maps and get a lock and then close it. My phone never geotags pics unless I start BB Maps 1st and then take the pics. And acording to RIM and Verizon, "That's The Way It Works".
