    New update of bbm won't set up

    I updated BBM on my Curve 8520 but now it wont set up. It stays on setting up for ages and if you press on anything it just goes blue and doesn't do anything! I don't want to have to pay for this to work either... PLEASE HELP!!!

    Have you tried a battery pull? Have you tried deleting BBM and reinstalling using the DM?

    I have tried that, even resetting and it still wont work. I don't know how to delete it. I have BlackBerry Desktop Software, but it doesn't come up with the option to delete BBM.

    I have just found a way to delete it. You go to options, applications, Add-ons, BBM, and then delete. Now the problem is..... it didn't make a difference. I don't have a Data Plan or a BIS (whatever they are). I'm on PAYG, does that make a difference? Anyway can you get them for free? If so, where from and can you get them online? If you can't get them free wheres the cheapest place to get them from (once again, online) Thanks

    You need a data plan in order to use BlackBerry services (BBM). Contact your carrier and see what your options are if you would like a data plan.
