Thread: Whats on deck after the Storm2 for Big Red?

I know many of us out there are contemplating getting S2 when it launches. I have also seen the question out there posted as now that S1 is working like its suppose to why go with S2? Personally the "new" factor may be enough for my..but it may not. What is next BB on the Verizon docket? Is it worth adding a line or using an upgrade if something newer is right around the corner? I would hate to waist (or better "use") an upgrade on a very similar device if within 3 months there is going to be superior device.

Thoughts?

I'm waiting because I no longer want touchscreen and I know the next BB with a keyboard for verizon will be sweet! I'd get the tour but I want wi-fi

Line, looking like it will be Essex / Tour 2 = Tour +WiFi+better battery, better signal strangth, more memory and new Liquid Screen technology. Also possible it will be either 3.5G or part of this next years LTE roll out.

I like the idea of the touchscreen and physical keyboard combo that the essex will have. I think I'm going to hold off on my upgrade and see when it might come out instead of getting the S2 right away. However with 3 lines on our plan I think there is an updgrade every year.

I will look into this for you.

I believe we've only heard rumors about this device so far; but it is bascially supposed to be something like the Storm with a slide-out keyboard. The hardware buttons are supposed to be touch sensitive ala Storm 2; and i've heard estimates of 800MHz as the clock speed of the CPU. I have also heard rumors that the device will fully support OpenGL ES 2.0 gaming. But up to this point, I believe that is all we have heard, rumors.
