Thread: 9100 Is The Striker?

Sal over at CrackBerry posted a little tip in forums about an upcoming device. He claims the 9100 Striker is the 3G Pearl. I'll add a little onto this. If indeed the 3G Pearl is the 9100 it will be a slider candy bar type device. It's a GSM device. Running OS 5.0. 4Q 2009 possibly. What you guys think? Would you like it?

I wouldn't be, but my wife would love to replace her Pearl with a candy bar pearl

It'll still have the Pearl SureType keyboard. But full QWERTY and touch is a very nice combo! Where or where are you hiding there hybrid??

so it will slide out vertically? so i guess the face will be full screen?

I do believe it's a vertical slider. LG Chocolate type maybe. Not too sure.

I have to say that this 3g pearl is not slider, maybe the striker is upcoming slider version but it won't be released soon, at least not this year.

Hmm, is the Stratus name still out there? Cause that was the 3G Pearl slider if I'm not mistaken.

Seems like there's a couple 3G Pearls out there. A candy bar and this device.

Sounds like it would be a good device for, well people who currently use a Pearl. I wouldn't really be interested in the device but I am sure there are plenty of people who would be. This device could bring in more users for RIM though, like the people who want a Blackberry but not all the features a traditional Berry might have... just a thought...

The 9100 is indeed real. It's coming. It will sport a 240X320 screen??
