yes, but he won't be able to use the 5.0 integration features....obviously, he can type messages, and thats about it

Some cool features on the new BBM:
1) You have a profile pic
2) LOCATION: If you chose to, your friends can see on what time zone you are, and country.
3) You can link your e-mails to it.
4) You can show WHAT I'M LISTENING TO
5) You can add a contact by:
a) PIN
b) email
c) Phone number (this only works for SMS)
d) Scanning someone else's barcode.
6) The new design is pretty cool
lol...sorry...its not all final but some of which inlcude:
1) Avatars
2) BBGroups support - knowing where friends are, and they know where you are, barcode scanning to add to contact list
3) Backing up contacts to media card
4) threaded SMS
but the normal integration probably won't work either..eg.. Send picture, Send Location, etc

The new Messenger working on a 8900 that would stop alot of people from upgraging there device becuse lets face it the 8900 is a real good device IMO but, from a business respective I can see why this is last on the list they need to move more units verse giving up free software upgrades.
What do you think?

Due to campatibility issues I don't that is possible, I mean with the bbm version, ie: version used on 5.0 is not compatible with 4.6 and that new bbm is even higher than the stock version on 5.0....
But I might be wrong is just my opinion
I really believe that it is just that little green monster trying to take over...:laugh2:
Nothing personal...I honestly have never had another BB other than my 9530.
I have tested some 8330's. Solid device for what it is. Just yesterday I handled the 9630 for the first time. Reminded me of the 8330 just with an advanced screen an processor.
that is the thinking, correct...which is why when the 9220 and 9520/9550 ships with 5.0, they will be the only 5.0 available devices...
a few months or weeks later 5.0 upgrades will be released to carriers...
IMO save your money if you have an 8900, and wait a bit for 5.0...
the 9220 is exact same device with 3G radio....its a little sleeker but not $500sleeker...
MePascal, I told you this thread was going to get Sticky::D
