    If BlackBerry does collapse?

If BlackBerry does collapse, what is the Outlook for all BlackBerry users, who will continue to provide support?,The BlackBerry web site and app store/cloud services for BlackBerry ID and software downloads, Touchpad and pre3 owners faced this after webOS was abandoned by HP, fortunately app store/cloud services have continued to the present day because HP still exists, otherwise support would have disappeared, As sales of BB10 phones appear to have stalled and major price reductions including the Q5 just released, if BlackBerry continue with their pricing policy the Z30 will be too expensive and very few will be sold, this could be the last straw, not a happy prospect but a possible outcome, BlackBerry needs a miracle to survive.

While I can't disagree with what you are saying, it doesn't bother me one bit. As I type this on my Q10, I am still enjoying my BlackBerry experience as I have since 2005.

Like a good friend who has cancer and actively seeking treatment, I'll be there until the end no matter what happens.

What I don't understand is this: BlackBerry is doing very well in the UK, India and Asia and recent reports Say that they've taken the number 3 position in the US. Without even releasing the Z30 Yet. OK, I know they are in bad weather these last couple of years, but i still think there's hope for the company.

It's an odd phenomenon, the OS is excellent and I think people want more intelligent devices, but, there are such muddied views towards BlackBerry. I don't quite understand the sentiment from haters who want to see failure rather than success. The anti domestic sentiment will harm us all. I just don't get it.

Hi, as fairly new Blackberry owner since playbook launch day and a Z10, both brilliant devices, the present uncertainty and rumours about BlackBerry's future is harming the company, and will affect sales, Blackberry should state that it's not going away and the Z30 and 10.2 update for previous BB10 phones will arrive on a set date, year end is too late no excuses or delays time is not on their side, if the CEO and his staff cannot deliver then replace them they are putting the future of BlackBerry at risk, I hope as a committed ( friends say I should be with My Z10 ) Blackberry owner and user that BlackBerry is here on new years day 2014 with the Z30 in many members hands months before this, if the worst happens our phones should continue to function, some services my not be available no reason not to keep our BB10 phones or earlier Blackberries, I bought Nokia N9 Meego no support it still works, off topic how many members are thinking of buying Z30 ? if it arrives I will buy one, we need a positive outlook, sorry this is a bit long I'm becoming defensive of my Z10 as people with their I phone/Androids look down on my Blackberry not realising it has the best OS in BB10.

BlackBerry as we know it now may stop, but their services are still used by millions of people and corporations.

So while we may not see the Z50 (or whatever random number they decide to put beside a Z), the services we all use today will still function.

Either being taken private and sold off or being taken over by another company, the transition will take years to complete.

I wouldn't be worried about the our phones not functioning in the future, I'd be more worried about phones not being manufacture with the flying B's on the back.

That has been the trend since BlackBerry World and BBM going cross-platform... moving toward software and services only. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But the BlackBerry we know today won't exist. What really reigned it in for me was when a BB employee said that a person can be Team BlackBerry even though they don't own a BlackBerry. BlackBerry has a very different plan in mind than what most BlackBerry users are even aware of, or at this point don't want to acknowledge.

Hi AVPTI, might be time to buy a couple of spare phones to keep using BlackBerry.

I only get a new device when my current device doesn't fulfill all my mobile needs.

Currently, both my Z10 and Q10 meet those needs.

I am not concerned about the future of my device usability in the short-term.

It is an unsettling feeling, that the BlackBerry that all the "faithful" have been promoting and selling to our friends and family, is in fact a bridge to who knows where. I am getting BBM's daily questioning whether or not my BBM friends made the right decision to upgrade to the OS10 or switch on my advice. I just ask them if the BB is still working today, and if so, don't worry about it until you are ready to upgrade again.
