    Z10 battery charger/ bundle

Hi my Z10 is a brilliant phone, battery life is ok but it runs the battery down quickly on occasions and only when away from home/ car charger, so decided to try charger/battery accessory, advertised at $32 (GBP 21 ) delivered ( list $63/GBP 41approx ) seemed cheap but ordered it thinking might not come with battery or non genuine, arrived in genuine Blackberry retail box withsecurity seals both ends, and charger and battery in sealed packs, and instruction sheet, charger is compact and is well madeand battery matched the original Z10 one, there is a button on charger if pressed LED lights up green/amber/red to advise battery level % , on info sheet, the pack is slim and goes into inside pocket hardly know its there, as i don`t like to keep removing back of phones i will use it as back up power, it will charge up my Nokia N9`s as well, a quality Blackberry accessory worth the money even at list price, i would recommend it as a vital accessory,

    Hey Merlin,

I completely agree with you. The battery bundle is a MUST HAVE accessory if you're a medium to heavy user on BlackBerry 10. For those that are still on the fence, they can check out my unboxing video.

Hi John, just watched your video, nice presentation and all information any one would need, the charger tops up Z10 very quickly, have tried it on my Nokia collection and it charges them as quickly too, just a thought the Q10 bundle has 2100mAh battery and costs about £4 more have ordered one to use on Z10 and my other phones, as the quality and efficiency of the charger is excellent, and bigger reserve, will keep Z10 battery in reserve. another Blackberry quality product.

I never thought of using the larger Q10 battery to charge my Z10 with the bundle.

The output is likely the same, therefore not causing any issues

Are there any do's or don'ts for storage? I wanted to keep it in my car but I don't know how the Canadian summers and winters will impact it (very cold and very hot).

Hi Jay1982, excessive heat is not good for lithium iron batteries it can shorten its life, also deep discharges top up whenever you can, as for putting in store charge to 40% min, I charge mine to 100%, top up once a month or more frequently, if left too long they self discharge to an empty state and will not recharge, higher temp faster discharge, and in very low temperatures the power output will decrease rapidly, an option would be if you can find an insulated pouch or similar to maintain a constant temperature 20°C/ 68°F is best, my playbook battery still charges to 100% after two and a half years, never discharged below 75% and kept cool,
