Z10 O.T.A. updates

Z10 over the air updates, in UK it appears it will depend on each carrier/network when owners receive them, some may never, going on past record, sim free Z10 could be last to receive updates, no doubt it will be same in other countries,
so future updates may be a long process as per Android, and windows phone oh joy!, only Apple send updates to all i phones regardless of status, [ i do not own Apple devices not a fan] so it appears that Blackberry will be in the carriers control as to when updates are
released for Z10/Q10, will they ask permission to release playbook updates too?, i expected better from Blackberry,

This is unfortunate. We all know how carriers can slack at providing the latest and greatest OS update. There will be leaks, but installing a leak currently does not save apps or app data. Only time will tell if BlackBerry decides to make a change in update policy.
