**Update**

As the group gets ready to go on tour comes the news that the band may also be giving up on its long relationship with Apple. U2 has chosen BlackBerry maker Research in Motion as the main sponsor for its tour, says CNBC.

After doing some research on this I actually found some more information about it!

Looks like U2 kicked off their tour in Barcelona, with a live satellite hook up to the international space station, but oddly enough RIM was nowhere to be found for this show, I wonder why ? You soon will also be able to get the App. (U2 Mobile Album) from BlackBerry App World when it releases, there is no date yet on when it will be released at this time.

Hey now, was just geeking out on SyFy and saw the new commercial with U2. Very cool IMHO!

Apologies if this is old news but was nice to see it in HD with full size and full sound.
