Thread: Need help for Blackberry bold 9930

Hi every one,

I have an unlcok version of Blackberry bold 9930,my data service not working,i have called the service provider he said your sim is working properly.still i can call and sleep here only.

I have tried a different providership in the phone yet it doesnot work,and tried my sim in a different phone it works.
I have travelled more than four countries and tried thier sim it works fine the datra service
I have updated my software three times still the same thing.

Hello Sallz, Welcome to and sorry your having issues. Have you checked to see if the data service on the phone was turned off on accident?
depending on what os your using go into options> Network and connections> mobile network> Data service. make sure its on. post back and let us know if that helps.

Ok sallz. Well the device should connect with what ever access point name (apn) that your provider has setup for you. But since you have an unlocked berry lets make sure you add the apn anyway.
Go into Options>Device>Advanced System Settings> Tcp/IP
Make sure the Apn settings is enabled by checking the box and make sure as well that you have the apn entered that your carrier has setup for you. (you may have to call them again to ask what it is).

Can I have some more background on the device your using?
1. What carrier was it made for?
2. Did the person before you use it on an enterprise server?
3. Have you tried to reload the software?

Ihave done all the above pan,still it's not working :-(

About the device I took it from Bahrain brand new and it was working in all the providers Bahrain have which are batelco,zain,viva, it also work in Dubai the provider Etisalat, it also work in saudi a Arabia provider mobily,it work inkuwait in MTV provider,in canada iworks on fido.now I am in Jordan in Aqaba I took provider zain and it's not working.:-(

Well if it works on all the other carriers then we know that the berry is working correctly. The problem would have to be with the phone provider that your on now.

I would contact them again and ask them to specifically check your "data provisioning"

Hi,I have done it still same problem,my sim card is working on a different blackberry but in 9930 it's not as it was working in different countries
