The pictures say it all, Twitter for BlackBerry definitely came out on top in my search of Twitter for BlackBerry vs HootSuite. I don't mean to say that HootSuite is all bad or that T4BB is perfect, but for now, this is how the results will stand.
The main things that I concluded on were this: while Twitter for BlackBerry has some major glitches in terms of retrieving tweets and keeping them updated after a refresh, all of the major components of the application are extremely easy to access. On the other hand with HootSuite, I've yet to determine where to go to even refresh my Twitter feed. This is a huge flaw for myself. I had to tweet "@BlackBerryOS Rocks!!!", wait a few minutes and restart the app numerous times before it even showed up on my Twitter feed so that I could get to the BlackBerry OS Twitter page. I don't know whether I'm just completely missing it, or my phone was simply acting up every time I attempted use of HootSuite, but I always ended back on Twitter for BlackBerry to meet my Twitter needs. One good thing I do like about HootSuite is that it allows you to combined Twitter, Foursquare, Facebook and LinkedIn all in one app. However, on the other hand, I found that loading different feeds, checking in on Foursquare, a lot of what I would use the app for, were extremely slow even when I had full bars on 4G. As for Foursquare, a Check-In seems to takes forever and finding where I'm at wasn't accurate. While I didn't extensively test out any but Twitter except to see how the initial feeds worked, having all four in one app is one bonus. I really love saving app space on my phone.
My conclusion is this: Twitter for BlackBerry wins this [Twitter] battle, hands down. In my honest opinion, HootSuite will be unable to compete until they really step up how the application can be used. A Twitter app that doesn't even let me refresh, see my followers or who I'm following is not the app for me.
