Thread: jvm error 513

i am getting error 513 says reset and i do but brings back that screen with the error, wont let me connect to the laptop really frustrating please help

First step would be to pull the battery while the phone is on, replace that battery and see if that clears the error up. If not its time to go to the next step and that is to reload your OS. In addition to ice's suggestions;

if you can, go to Device Properties (Windows 7)

You can also go to the USB Root Hub Properties>Power Management
Unclick

Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power

This usually appears when the password for device has been entered incorrectly too many times and device wipes itself.

also works for Windows Vista, and even XP

The device is most likely wiped considering your getting this error.

Download: BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.312 (Multilanguage) for O2 and follow device upgrade tutorial that ice2921 posted. App Loader should see your device. Reload OS and you should be back in business.
